Auxiliary Chapter: Hero Classifications - A Personal Note to the Readers
Dear Readers,
As you continue on this journey with the story, you may notice a shift in how I've chosen to present the rankings of heroes and villains within this world. Rather than simply numbering them in their respective Etheral and Villor rankings, I've decided to adopt a more thematic and meaningful approach by introducing class names for each rank.
I'm writing this auxiliary chapter to explain the reasoning behind this decision, as it might slow down the pacing if I were to have Sophie explain it all to Ain in the main story. I hope this will provide clarity and insight into the world-building decisions that I've made, and how they shape the universe you're experiencing.
In this world, strength is not just about physical power—it's tied to legacy, purpose, and ideals. Simply numbering these individuals doesn't do justice to the essence of their character, their journey, and what they represent. Each class symbolizes more than just raw strength; it embodies what a hero stands for, what they've achieved, and what they mean to the world. I want these heroes and villains to be defined by more than just numbers—they represent ideals, perseverance, sacrifice, and so much more. These qualities deserve to be acknowledged through meaningful titles.
Here's a quick breakdown of the Hero class system:
F-Class: Forsaken Class – The lowest rank, reserved for those who have been cast aside, forgotten, or who lack significant power. It's a harsh reality, but some heroes begin from the bottom, often underestimated by others. These individuals typically find themselves ranked at the bottom of the Etheral rankings.
E-Class: Elite Class – A step above the Forsaken, these heroes are considered exceptional in certain aspects but still have much room for growth. They may not be as famous as the top-tier heroes, but their potential is undeniable. They are often ranked just above the bottom tier in the Etheral rankings.
D-Class: Defender Class – Heroes who are defined by their sense of duty and their will to protect. While they may not possess the overwhelming power of higher ranks, they make up for it with grit, perseverance, and an unbreakable spirit. These heroes are typically just below the middle tier, and they have little to no knowledge of Primal patterns.
C-Class: Champion Class – The mid-tier, consisting of heroes who are reliable, highly skilled, and widely respected. They may not be the strongest, but they have proven themselves time and again in battles that matter. These heroes are ranked in the top 5000 and may not possess a Primal pattern.
B-Class: Brave Class – This is where the heavyweights start to appear. These heroes are incredibly strong, known for their courage and unwavering resolve in the face of danger. They command respect and often find themselves on the front lines of conflict. These individuals are ranked within the top 500 and possess at least 1 Primal pattern.
A-Class: Ardent Class – Reserved for the truly legendary heroes, this class represents the pinnacle of strength and character. These heroes not only possess immense power but lead with passion and unyielding dedication to their cause. Their presence alone can inspire entire nations. These heroes are ranked within the top 100 and possess Primal patterns.
S-Class: Sentinel Class – The defenders of the world, often mythic figures standing at the very top of power. Sentinels are known for their unparalleled abilities, and the legends surrounding them inspire awe and fear. They are ranked in the top 10 and possess multiple Primal patterns.
SS-Class: Sovereign Class – The ultimate class. These heroes are essentially god-like beings whose abilities transcend ordinary comprehension. Their names are etched into the fabric of history, and their influence can shape the fate of entire worlds. This class is reserved for the Rank 1 hero, someone who has reached the Primal stage.(Valorion)
In adopting this system, I wanted to give each class a meaningful identity. Heroes will no longer be defined by mere numbers. Instead, they will be shaped by the ideals they represent and the role they play in this world.
I hope this change adds depth to the story, making each hero more memorable and unique. As you follow the protagonist's journey, you'll understand that every rank carries with it a legacy, an identity, and a purpose.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy this new perspective as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
Sincerely,
[Thy_lin]

I decided to make it a normal chapter, fearing that if I made it as an auxiliary, people might forget to read it. This is too important to be overlooked or left to the side. It’s a core part of the world I’m building, and I want everyone to fully grasp it. thanks again and I hope you enjoy
