The Grand Marshal

We were told to prepare the way for the rest of Earth, no warning, just we were enjoying our lives and the next, in this brand new world. Many died on our journey as the Pioneers, but I did not I survived by some miracle. My real name is Luke, although in this world I am known as Dharen. I tried to avoid it, but I was forced onto the path of war. This is my story of how from nothing I helped restore the Imperium Draconis, and of how I became one of its most important leaders. As I became, The Grand Marshal

More Classes

The next few days flew by for Dharen, from attending more of the physical classes, in which his combat ability kept on improving by leaps and bounds, although he did still always lose when he ended up in a duel against Renna, which happened more and more regularly as time went on, still he found himself enjoying it more and more.

Aside from that of the physical classes that he had been attending, the theory classes to had started now, although he was struggling a little in them, as they were finishing off a chapter in the textbook, all of the classes were in a similar point to that, meaning that he had, had no free time for a while now, instead finding himself studying away every night trying to gain an understanding of what had been taught already.

Jason here was a great help to, as he seemed to be more than happy to teach and help Dharen catch up on what he had missed. A Lot of the history so far had focused on the continent before the arrival of who they called the crusader as well as a brief part on what was called the chaos wars. Though it seemed to Dharen there was not much information on that time period, still it was studied as it had direct implications on the world as it was today.

But currently Dharen was inside of one of the classrooms, but it was not a normal class that he would be having here with any of the Professors or the instructors, instead inside of the room was just him and Renna.

She had told him earlier in the day that he should come here for what she was saying would be his cultural study in which he would learn about his people and all of the information for which he did not know, for which he was told a lot.

This meeting though, was something in which he was happy about, he had become fascinated with the Dragon-Kin from the theory classes in which members of the race, or there empire which they called the Imperium had kept on appearing over and over, being the centre of or playing an important role in many of the historical events that had occurred in the past.

Standing near the chalkboard, Renna was dressed up in her most formal clothes, for which was just the dress uniform of the school, that Dharen had found out that he would acquire after the next few weeks as it seemed like this was made by each student. An old tradition he had been told, anyway, Renna looked odd dressed and standing like that, especially with how much the two of them had fought in duels in the training grounds as part of the physical classes.

"Dharen, for these… Lessons you can ask as many questions as you would want to, in fact I would encourage you to ask as much as you could, so that you can learn as quickly as possible, it feels just disgraceful to me and the others that you do not know anything of our people, we really do sometimes think on what kind of parents you have had you know?"

Dharen just nodded his head at her words, as it was not like she was talking about his own family, it was just about the family of the body. As to what his memories were, he had no idea, he did not inherit any of that. But it did seem like to him at least he had inherited the body's muscle memory of how to fight, as a lot of the classes were him connecting his mind to his body and fully unleashing all that it could do.

"Well, the first part is that you should know about how our bloodlines are classified and ranked, this is important not just to us but it has implications to the outside world as well." She spoke, slowly and carefully as she looked at him, trying to ensure that he understood and remembered everything that she was saying. Seeing all of this, he could tell easily that this was extremely important to her, and why would it not be?

"The Clans or the Dragon-Kin as we are commonly know, all trace their lineage back to when some of people were granted the bloodline from the Dragons in question, it is the type of Dragon that determines how we are ranked and classified, we just followed the internal ranking of the Dragon Tribes here, it made most sense to our ancestors as well as to us today."

Dharen, did interrupt her as he had more or less worked out this much so far, seeing as though everyone kept going on about Dragon-Kin or anything similar to that, it was clear there was a close link to the Dragons somewhere in there history.

"Well, there are three clans that are at the top, who some say each one comes from a different realm." She had said that with a little pride, but the mention of realms confused Dharen who quickly had brought up the same.

"Huh, you don't know that either? Really Dharen, I do not understand anything of what you are. You should have been taught so much more than you have been, you know? There are three realms as far as we know, the Heavens or Upper Realm. Then there is the Mortal Realm or Middle Realm, that being where we are now. And the last one is the Under Realm or Lower Realm, it is what many people call the Underworld or Hell."

As she finished explaining that, she looked a little annoyed at explaining to her what is basically a childhood lesson, to which all of the children are taught regardless of their faith or background as it is a core part of most of the stories they were told as they would be sent to bed so that they could go and sleep.

"Anyway the major clans are the Star Clan, from the Mortal Realm, the Abyssal Clan, from the Lower Realm and finally the Divine Clan who are from the Upper Realm, not that they are actually Divine. They are more commonly called the Heavenly Clan though as the official name is confusing." Then noticing Dharens face, she asked slightly troubled, "Are you still with me?"
