The Outer Rim

It was five minutes before the beginning of the afternoon and Kavira along with the others were already waiting for King Adonis.

The first person they saw come in from the corridor was Prince Jacob followed by Prince Adam and then the King himself. They came without any other personnel, Kavira was sure they may have prepared an ambush for the way she scared Prince Jacob but they were calm all around. King Adonis laid out a long piece of parchment out on the coffee table in the lounge facing Kavira.

"Apologies for the delay, we've come with an accord. This parchment states that Keero will allow you to take our warriors and use them as you seem fit whenever you please." Kavira's expression remained calm but she was surprised. They were willing to allow themselves to become vulnerable just to aide her. "My son, Jacob, also has something he would like to say."

Prince Jacob bowed. "I would like to apologize for my behavior. I was selfish and greedy, I had no idea that the Dragon Elders compass could only be used by someone worthy. I give you my sincere apologies and hope that you accept our accord as a token of my mistake."

Kavira looked over at Clain. He had been the one most affected by Prince Jacob's greed, but regardless he only cared to protect Kavira. She read his mind, in a state of shock she quickly turned back to face Prince Jacob. "I will accept your accord. I hope that in the future we will be welcomed once again into Keero."

Kavira smiled and signed the accord. She had no reason to doubt the King, he had done his best to give her a welcoming stay and provide her with comfort she found no ill intent in his heart. "We will be leaving tomorrow morning. I have a few things to attend to before leaving such a beautiful city."

The group said there goodbyes, they made their way to the rooms and packed their things. It was time for them to become familiar with the hunters.

"That bitch!!!" Katia couldn't even look in the mirror without punching it out of anger. Her face had been burnt so badly that she couldn't recognize herself, her beautiful face was destroyed all because she took on a job. Her hair had completely burnt off and the only familiar feature left were her pitch black eyes.

Everyone who saw her ran away from her, she wasn't able to make any money as a prostitute with this hideous face. All she had left was take Prince Jacob down with her if he wouldn't pay what he owed her.

She made her way over to the castle with a beautiful robe and a head wrap covering her entire face but her eyes. She met a castle guard and asked to speak to Prince Jacob, at first he was unwilling but she omitted some of her feminine charm potion that still worked and made her way through.

Once in Prince Jacob's room she laid in his bed waiting for him to return. It took him a little over an hour to appear, she was beginning to be fed up with waiting. Her patience was meeting its end, she needed money to leave as soon as possible to make a new life and Prince Jacob was her only hope.

"I've been waiting for you." Prince Jacob was startled, he couldn't see the woman's face but he recognized her voice.

"What're you doing here?" Prince Jacob whispered hoping that his appointed guards wouldn't hear him from outside his door.

"I'm here for the money you owe me." Prince Jacob swiftly made his way to his bed and covered where her mouth would be. "You need to speak softer. If my guards hear you they will notify my father and then you won't receive anything."

"You've fallen really far, I used to believe you were the one who should have been born to rule Keero." Katia felt disgust, she had only done what she was told yet she was the only one to pay the price by being burned. "Just give me the money and I'll leave."

Prince Jacob nodded. "I don't have the money with me now but I will have it by tonight."

He didn't even have the money, Katia was tired of this persons games she wasn't going to be made a fool. "I'm not leaving until I have my money, so entertain me."
