The Mysterious Child (3)

Syra waited until dark outside in the woods of Worstal City. It took her less than a day to reach the highland region. She was surprised to know that people weren't too far away from her own village.

After night fell, Syra made her way into the city by climbing up the walls through her own made vines. She would rather do this than answer redundant questions she couldn't answer. She wore a dark cloak that covered up her entire body, it looked suspicious but she would rather blend into the dark until making her way into the city.

She didn't want to stay for long so as soon and she entered she asked around for information in taverns, the market, a few soldiers. Syra was a very beautiful woman, most people didn't bother to check if she was from the city after she had climbed over the wall.

She decided to stay over for the night, taking up a run in a lodge on the right side of the city where she had climbed through. "Sweetie, it's late for a single woman to be out. Go on ahead and sleep, you can view the city tomorrow." The front clerk was a kind lady around her mid-thirties. Syra followed the directions, making her way into the room so was assigned to.

Syra walked into the room only to find and man thrown across the bed completely drunk with a heavy stench of alcohol. She tried to walk around the bed to take a look at his face but since he was laying face first his distorted features impeded her from seeing.

"You've got to be kidding me." Syra hated to bother others with problems that she could solve herself but she was in a new city surrounded by soldiers. "Alright... Come on." Syra picked the man up offer of her bed with her Irrang magic, opening the door to lay him down right outside of the room.

If there were ever a time to wash her hands from trouble, it would be now. She felt satisfied with her course of action, hoping in to bed and fell asleep.

Knock. Knock. "Excuse me."

Knock. Knock. "Miss, are you in there?"

The front desk lady turned back towards the soldiers with a forced smile, she wasn't sure why they were bothering this woman but it was interrupting her business. The lady was about to knock again when the door opened revealing Syra half asleep but still incredible beautiful face and frame.

The soldiers were stunned for a few seconds until the front desk lady reminded them what they were here for. The main soldier came forward. "You are being summoned to the Noble Mansion, the young master, Wes would like to have a word with you."

Syra wasn't sure what this was about but she didn't argue, the faster she knew what she was up against the quicker she could leave back home. "Let me just freshen up a bit and I'll follow you gentlemen."

Syra closed the door. She debated on escaping but the truth was that she was far too curious about this situation to just leave. She finished changing her clothes, making her way to the mansion right behind the soldiers. They led her into a casually room, it had no bed, no desk, just chairs and a couch. She sat down as requested from the soldiers and waited.

When the door opened she rose to her feet, whoever this was they weren't someone she wanted to anger. A handsome man with honey colored eyes that couldn't be mistaken, they were very similar to Lily's. She did mention once that her husband was a noble from Worstal City with honey colored eyes while his brothers were purple.

"It is nice to meet you." Wes offered his hand but Syra didn't bother to take it. This man was at fault for Lily's suffering, she heard the whole story about his mother and how he promised not to leave her. Syra wanted to leave now but she couldn't, there was a reason this man asked her to come here.

"Why did you ask me here?" Wes was a bit shock by Syra's response. He was sure he had never met her before but he sensed such hostility coming out from her.

"Yesterday, when you levitated me out of your room, how did you do that?" Syra was sure the man was asleep, how did he recognize her? This felt like a trick, like someone had predestined this to happen.

"I was pretty sure you were asleep."

"I was, but my personal body guard saw everything with his own eyes."

Have you guys already guessed who Syra is? LoL No? Me either.
