The Arrival

16 Years Ago. The Lost Realm.

Amira landed on a grassy field by a town just a few yards away, her body was extremely weak but she resisted the urge to remain laying around. Her jelly legs could hardly fight the collapse of her body when she was suddenly caught by a gentleman just before stumbling forward. "Hey there sunshine. You okay?"

Amira's body was in such an incredibly weakened state, she couldn't glance up to see the man who lent a helping hand. "Do you mind up I set you down inside this tavern?" Amira's inability to respond gave him notion to do so, he was taking responsibility over her after all.

The man set her down in a chair, carefully placing her head on the table before walking over to the bar and asking for some water. Amira's vision had blurred and the inside of her body was burning, no sounds came out of her. Even though she was conscious it was like she was asleep. "Here you go. Try to drink this."

Amira remained still for over an hour just listening and watching everything around her while her head lay on the table helplessly. The man hadn't left her side, he took a seat and said nothing. It was almost sun down and Amira finally felt like it was time to sit up, with effort she pushed herself off the table. "Let me help you."

The man stood up and walked over to Amira making sure she didn't fall onto her face. She still couldn't speak but in her head she was thanking the man. She couldn't imagine why a stranger would be so attentive to her, didn't he have anything else to do but be here and watch her? "You should drink some water."

The man lifted the cup up to Amira's lips, she slowly drank finally feeling the hydration she so desperately needed. "Thank you."

The cup was set back down and Amira's eyes had shut themselves in darkness, it took one big inhale for her to gain her composure. The light alcoholic air in the tavern wasn't the most fragrant of scents but she could feel her five senses coming back. When she opened her eyes she looked over to the man sitting in front of her in shock. Her blank stare was enough to make him smirk.

"Do you like the new look?" The man opened his arms wide indicating Amira to take a very good look at him. "You don't know how long I've waited for this. I can finally breathe, think, feel." He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply letting it out slowly. "And it's all thanks to you."

Izak. Amira had killed him, she slashed his face shutting off one eyes and stabbed him through his heart with his own sword. The scar on his face was diagonal across the left side, she couldn't see his chest but she was certain this was Izak. How was this possible?

"I killed you." Amira's body was trembling trying to grab a hold of her reaction, she looked around the tavern to make sure no one had overheard her. In a lighter voice, "How are you here?"

The man that looked like Izak had a smirk plastered on his face. "Don't worry. Your lover boy is dead. I am the person you awakened by opening the portal. You sacrificed what you loved most and I took him as a vessel."

"So you're not Izak?" Amira wasn't sure who this man was but Izak face, although scarred, still charmed her. She had made the ultimate sacrifice for her cousin to live a peaceful life.

The man laughed out loud clouding Amira's thoughts. "Let's be honest. You didn't make the sacrifice for her, you did it for me. You made up the story about her mother wanting to come here to find peace. Do you not remember telling me your deepest darkest secrets and asking for my help?"

Lines formed between Amira's brows, her eyes looking around trying to grasp anything this man was saying that made sense to her. "You were so desperate and you told me to do what ever it took to take revenge. Little did you know that you were harboring me in the small piece of jewelry that Zekora Shawe gave to you as a child."

The ring! Amira pulled out her personal pouch, she found the ring under a pair of earrings and brought it out into the dim tavern light. The ruby stone that one shined bright was now broken and dark. "I had been waiting for thousands of years... Until I found you. You were no Fiena so manipulating you was easy. She did tell you to give the ring to Leena but you were selfish, greedy. But I should thank you, now that you're recovered I'll give you a gift."

The man moved forward, leaning his body over the table glaring straight into Amira's eyes. "Don't let her reach the Dragon Elder... Your life depends on it."

WHAT!!!! I was really hoping Izak would come back..
