It is time... (8)

Clain was a bit concerned that those swords were the ones that would be given to Kavira. He spent many days in the library when he accompanied Cindy to the Blessed Forrest every so often when she would come to check on Kavira's progress. In some books they wrote about two ancient nine ringed dao's that formed an X, many people who tried wielding said weapons were cursed after and died of anonymous deaths.

Clain was ready to protest Master Fei in ordering the weapons down when he heard him say to Kavira that they'd recognized her. "Are you sure about having those swords?" He wasn't sure what to think but Kavira just nodded with a brilliant smile. "Very well then." Clain wasn't about to argue. If the swords recognized her then he really had nothing to worry about, these swords were meant for her so he continued on.

"Do you know the difference between a warrior and a true warrior?" Kavira shook her head. "A warrior is an average human with capabilities of an ordinary human. The are strong but their abilities lack speed, accuracy and a strength above that of a physical being. A true warrior is someone who has mastered speed, accuracy and strength at a higher level of human abilities."

"I see. So the goal is it make me stronger, faster and sharper." Kavira was impressed that normal humans had found a way to break barriers that were set by nature to overcome being oppressed.

"It is something we would like to accomplish, however, many people fail upon achieving this form because it requires to push yourself to the limit and when most people attempt to do so they die." Kavira looked at Clain with calm eyes. People would kill themselves for the opportunity to become an even better warrior but why? Was it not just enough to be whom you were meant to be and fight with honor?

"Are you all true warriors?" They all nodded simultaneously. "Alright. I'll try my hardest to make you proud." Kavira walked off to retrieve two practice swords from the racks before stepping foot onto the sandpit. "I'll use these until I have my two dao."

Clain started off the training with teaching her some stances and what they meant. They did some kid sparring followed by some physical training and back to the sparring. Linx was off on the side with Nyla watching Kavira's every move. She was a quick learner, he felt that Clain's ridiculous thought of her being on par with them after a year wasn't so ridiculous after all.

"We'll take a break. I'll be back, I need to have a few words with Master Fei." Kavira acknowledged his words, settling the wooden swords back into place on the rack. She saw Nyla follow Clain into the house and disappear along with him. By the time she turned around Linx was standing right in front of her, his deep blue eyes taking note of everything about her face.

"Linx, you startled me." She was pleasantly surprised but still casually curious as to why he was here. "Do you need something?"

He moved in closer to tower over Kavira, his gaze lowered onto her neck line taking the pendant into his hands. "This is an incredible pendant, where did you get it?" Kavira wasn't surprised by a great many things but him being able to touch it shocked her. Both Cindy and the General told her stories that whenever they tried to touch the pendant they would feel an overwhelming amount of pain. She witnessed Clain experience that pain they spoke about when she asked him for a favor to touch the pendant.

Something about Linx frightened her. Not long after she awoke, she harvested a connection with the pendant that spoke to her, informing her that it was her protector. None of this made any sense to her, she watched as the only person whom has powers, other than her, wail in pain from trying to touch the pendant. How was he, Linx, someone she have no connection with, able to touch it?

Kavira quickly pulled the pendant away from Linx's hand. "I don't know. I just know that it was with me five years ago and it's with me now." She tried to steady her fear and walk away but Linx took a hold of her elbow, she felt impatient and without a second thought she shot a gust of wind in his direction throwing him across the sandpit.

Linx eyes flew open, he was stunned. Never had he seen someone do what he just saw, he was looked right at her. She was enveloped in a white aura and her emerald eyes turned pure white. "Kavira!" Clain stepped outside of the house to find Kavira surrounded by magic. He called out to her a few times before she came back to her senses and saw Clain's worried face.

"What happened?" Her confused eyes asked for answers but as Clain didn't see anything, he wasn't sure what to tell her.

"You pushed me back with a strong wind." Linx stood on his two feet. "Are you afraid of me?"

Ummm.. I am. You're weird. :P LOL jk
