Chapter 12

"No, it's not. That's not wrong. But... but... I was just in the middle of shit. And she is not a human being!" said Anna, speaking in a loud voice.

Anna realized that her voice was calling attention from people around her. It was a real shame—Anna shrieked—to sit back down with her head down.

"Do you want to invite the creature back?" Howl asked, irritated by Anna's hard-to-control attitude.

"Sorry … Sometimes I have trouble controlling myself. Sorry …" said Anna—sorry about what she did.

"Mona Kang, a 34-year-old woman. Single woman who never had a relationship with a man. That's why she was called a saint by the demons." Howl said, immediately shifting the subject to more serious discussion.

"Devil? Is that thing a demon?" Anna asked.

"Man calls it that. He's escaped, he are supposed to be locked up in hell. Howl said, "We have a place on the earth."

"So humans are also involved in this? I want to ask you, I've been very curious since the first time we met." Anna said while changing her seat—facing towards Howl closer.

"You are mythical creatures, are you mystical creatures human beings? What is your true form?" asked Anna with both eyes glistening.

"You won't be able to see it. Howl said, "We are made of fire, and we are made of light."

"Then what do you like? "Do you want to be human so that no one knows where you are?" Anna asked.

"Of course. Besides, not just anyone can communicate with me."

"Then what am I? How can I see you? Is it because I can see ghosts?" Anna asked confusedly with her own mind.

"Since when can you see what you shouldn't see?" Howl asked with a serious face.

The atmosphere turned sour as Anna ducked and replied, "I don't know since when I can see mystical things like ghosts. But my mom told me once, that when I was a baby I cried a lot without knowing why, when I started walking I always put myself in danger. Mom said I was following something she didn't see. I often walk alone into the middle of the road, and often I get hit by a vehicle for always walking alone."

Anna was silent for a while, her heart was very sensitive if she had to go back to remembering the past with her mother.

"Indeed I haven't believed in God, gods or anything like that since my mother died. But after seeing you my mind was a little open... Although I can't believe it yet." Anna murmured.

"I didn't come here to listen to you, okay. The Lord I know is so firm, I don't know what God's up to. I'm just taking orders. If I'm done, I'll go back to where I came from."

"The house? The house I've seen? Is that where you live?" Anna asked.

"Of course not."

"Ah, I see. I thought you were a goblin or a witch. But how can I see you and the reaper?" Anna asked.

"I don't know, maybe that's his plan." Howl said as he pointed back towards the sky.

Anna put her head up. She could only see the twilight sky with a collection of white clouds. Suddenly Anna missed her mother who is now in heaven.

Anna's mind was raised to look directly at Howl.

"Does all the dead enter heaven? My mother? Do you know where my mother is?" Anna asked.

Howl is silent for a while looking at Anna, who seems so anxious to know this.

"It's none of my business. I don't know who your mother is. If he does good, maybe his punishment will be lighter." Howl said.

Not satisfied with the answer Howl gave, because she was too emotionally carried away without realizing Anna immediately hit Howl's arm very hard.

"Don't just talk!! I'm serious!"

Howl was shocked when his body almost fell because of Anna's beating. This may be the first time he's been hit by a human being.

"You hit me?" asked Howl who tried to be patient.

Anna could only keep her mouth shut when she realized that she had hit the god figure. Fear led Anna to flee immediately before life was threatened.

Howl just breathed a sigh of relief at the stupid man's behavior. No matter how hard he runs or hides, he'll be easy to find. Howl leaves his seat because he still has work to finish.

Walked into the lobby of a hospital that looked so crowded. The faces of man are worthless to Howl. He is nothing but a worthless creature.

One emergency patient came in with an ambulance stretcher. The emergency room seemed tense as they received the crash victim's patient. A young woman who is still wearing a high school uniform now covered in blood. 

Medical personnel immediately provided treatment for the student in order to save his life. Howl sees that there is one man who looks so messy standing in front of the ambulance door with a feeling of panic.

"Intubation!"

"Doctor! Hearts don't beat!!"

One of the doctors immediately rushed CPR. Pressing the chest of a young woman lying limp between life and death. Pressing it over and over so the heart can get back to beating.

"Prepare the defibrillator! Hurry up!" urged the ER guard doctor who kept pushing fast until the defibrillator came.

"Doctor Defibrillator is ready!"

"Give me 120 joules!"

"Ready!"

"Get away! 1 … 2 … 3 … shoot!"

DUG!

The heart's still not beating.

"200 joules!"

"Ready!"

"Get away! 1 … 2 … 3 … shoot!"

"It looks like he won't be able to survive …" Howl said while looking at the man who ran towards the hospital yard.
