The Hidden Sound (1)

"Huf..." Sheathing his blade Rei's face and clothes were covered in blood. Catching his breath he took a moment Rei walked to the edge of the roof before jumping back towards the hotel. Entering from the broken window he was relieved to see that the sound ninja was still there. "Now to deal with you."

Walking up to the sound ninja Rei forcefully propped him up by grabbing him by his shirt. "Why did Orochimaru send you after me?" Looking at Rei the sound ninja remained silent. "So you just going to sit there silently?" Tightening his grip Rei eventually did receive an answer except not the one he wanted. "If you think I'm intimidated by you then you're mistaken."

Staring at the sound ninja for a moment Rei let his grip loosen before turning around. 'I really don't want to do this. But he's not giving me a choice.' Preparing himself Rei turned back around facing the ninja. "I've never done this before if you die it won't be my fault. So are you sure you don't want to answer me?" Testing him one more time Rei was met with silence.

Taking that as his answer Rei began redirecting energy to one of his fingers before placing it gently onto the ninja's upper leg. "Byakurai." Without any warning, an electrifying pain shot through the ninja's body. "Gah!" Trembling the ninja continued to wince in pain until Rei stopped. "Where is Orochimaru hiding?"

Once again despite being shocked the ninja remained silent. "Fine." Moving his fingers to a different location on the ninja's body he upped the power before firing again. "GAH!" This process continued for an hour straight until Rei finally got results. "W- Wait... I'll tell you." Feeling the power of the shocks increasing the ninja knew eventually Rei would kill him either by accident or on purpose.

Stopping his movements mid-way Rei pulled his hand back. "I... I don't know why he wanted you he just said he wanted us to take you to him alive. We were originally tracking other people of interest including Tsunade... He pr- probably wants you for experiments..." Hearing the word experiments Rei's eyes filled with disgust. 'If he's willing to have people butchered alive I doubt these 'experiments' are any better.'

But this also gave him an idea. "Fine, I'll let you live. And I won't shock you again but first, you are going to do something for me." Although the ninja didn't know what Rei meant he immediately nodded. No words could describe what it was like having electricity go through your body for almost an hour straight.

All resistances to lightning style based interrogation he had beforehand seemed ineffective. And at this point, he would do anything to avoid that feeling that again. Soon after that morning dawned in the town. Surprisingly despite all the things that had happened last night no one was alarmed until the morning.

Shizune who had just woken up after taking care of Lady Tsunade all night prepared to leave. Packing all of their things while Tsunade slept she spotted something under the door."Huh?" Walking over and bending down she found a note. "This..." Reading the note Shizune looked dumbfounded.

"Lady Tsunade you to see this!" Reading the entire thing Shizune ran to Tsunade's bed trying to wake her up. Of course, this was a note left behind by Rei to explain a few things. He had attacked one of the Sannin and even though he didn't personally care about them it was still better to make them neutral towards him.

While Shizune focused on Rei's note Rei himself was outside of the town's borders. Lying on the ground in front of the same sound ninja who he had captured in his hotel room Rei seemed to be unconscious. Meanwhile, above him, three other ninjas were talking. "Is this the one Lord Orochimaru wanted?"

Looking down at Rei for a moment they looked back up when the one from the hotel room spoke. "Yes, the others ended up dying trying to capture him." Taking another Rei at the unconscious Rei it seemed hard to believe one kid could kill so many tracker ninjas. Eventually, the ninja in the middle of the rest gave out orders.

"Alright, you two tie him up and keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't escape. While you do that I'll contact Lord Orochimaru of our success. After that, we will make our way back to Lord Orochimaru." Stating the order of events all four agreed with one another. Soon after this, the report was sent off and received.

"Lord Orochimaru we have gotten word that we were successful on the boy's capture." Holding a clipboard in hand along with the light from the ceiling reflecting in his glasses Kabuto ignored the floating body parts in tubes surrounding the inside of the room. Pausing for a moment Kabuto also began to relay the casualties.

"In total, the casualties are around 45% higher than we expected which will delay the speed at which they can return. Also never mind..." Preparing to talk about the side effects of losing the tracking ninja Kabuto could tell Orochimaru did not care. Turning his face to the right slightly revealing his snake-like eyes.

"Good... If it takes that much effort to bring him in then the rewards will surely be worth it." After that everything else proceeded as planned. Dashing the forest the ninja that had captured Rei was carrying him on his back tied up. Leading up front were the other three ninjas making sure to keep an eye out.

With everyone's eyes faced forward, the sound ninja heard Rei's voice whisper to him. "Don't think of getting any ideas. The moment you try anything I'll kill you." The ninja's heart went cold as he quickly shrugged off any dangerous thoughts. "I- I understand..." Rei had already made it clear what he had to do back at the town.

"Act as if you captured me and then meet up with the other ninja Orochimaru sent. All you have to do is take me all the way to the Hidden Sound and you'll get to live." It was a simple task but the idea of possibly dying at any moment from making any kind of mistake lingered on his mind.
