Chapter 23

(Magnus POV)

Standing on the command deck of his Admiral's ship, the Ananta-Mandjet, Magnus looked at the planet before him, Prospero was his name.

Magnus watched the planet for a while. The world below was inhabited by close to two hundred and thirty million people, the vast majority having some form of psyker ability. The planet only had one mega-city. Prospero wasn't unusual except for its distance, but what really made it unusual was the planet's imprint on the Warp. With his intangible senses he sensed that the planet was a shining jewel in the otherwise dark and harsh Warp. Positive emotions and joy spread from the planet, forming a layer that weakened and angered the Warp predators.

He had more important things to do than look at the strange planet, but his curiosity was piqued because his father had personally ordered him to come here.

With one movement of his fingers, he opened a portal to the top of the largest pyramid on the planet and passed through it.

As soon as he came out of the portal, he saw that his father was here.

"Father, you were looking for me," he replied with happiness in his voice.

"Yes, but before I explain everything to you, look at this world and tell me what you see," answered his father with a smile.

"Yes father" he replied and directed his warp senses to encompass the entire world and saw it.

The wide valleys were filled with fields of flowers, whose colors were more intense and vivid than anywhere else she had seen. The trees were huge and lush, with leaves shining in various colors. Water flowed in rivers and lakes that looked like they were created from pure liquid magic.

The meadows were soft and green, with multi-colored flowers glistening in the sun. The forests were dense and full of wild animals, which were also connected to the planet. Rivers and lakes shone like liquid sapphire, and their waves created incredible patterns and complex shapes.

The buildings were architecturally outstanding. The houses were built of magical crystals and glittering stone, between which light flowed. The streets were full of people surrounded by glowing plants.

The whole of Prospero was covered with cities and settlements built in the form of pyramids. Every building, from the smallest houses to monumental castles, had perfectly formed, symmetrical structures that graced the entire landscape. The pyramids radiated shine and airiness, as if they themselves sprouted from the fat.

The pyramids they lived in had magical stones and crystals that flashed constantly, filling the air with incredible brightness.

The most impressive thing her saw was the floating city. This city glittered with the rays of the sun as it hung elegantly in the air, without any support. The floating city must obviously be the work of the most experienced arcanists on the planet, who managed to harmonize their power, but most likely her father helped build it.

He came out of his vision and turned his gaze towards his father.

"What is your impression?" he asked.

"It's beautiful," he answered honestly and asked, "How did you manage to create everything, dad?"

"Shortly before I united with Mars I contacted one of the psykers on this planet. Their planet was facing a Psychneuein invasion and I was giving them the knowledge to counter the threat and rebuild when the threat passed" her father replied.

He read about many dark and terrible things in her father's library. Of the nightmares that stalked the Warp and fed on those it touched. Of those Warp Predators, few have inspired more disgust than the Psychneuein themselves. Ancient hybrid warp and materium organisms. Taking the form of giant parasitic wasps. They laid their eggs in the brains of Psykers. Overrunning entire planets in great feeding swarms that would swoop down on beings with even the slightest psychic talent.

"What are you planning with Prospero?" he asked curiously.

"Prospero is an example of the utopia I want to create," he answered and added with joy, "Here psykers learn to control their powers from childhood."

"You still haven't answered my question," he pointed out clearly.

"Sorry, I got carried away" replied his father and replied "I plan to make Prospero a recruiting ground for your legion. Prospero is ideal for your legion because it has a high and stable population of psykers. What do you think?".

"I will do everything to make Prospero a paradise to live in," he answered honestly.

The planet itself was pulled by something in the back of his mind. A vague sense of recognition and sadness she felt.

"I know," he answered and added, "Before I go, I have to show you something else, follow me."

A warp portal suddenly opened and his father stepped through it.

A few steps and he found herself in a room, obviously underground.

He turned and looked at his father and what he saw stunned he.

A massive insectoid horror was glued to the roof and walls of the chamber. The shape of the wasp distorted into a writhing mass of warp-soaked tissue. Here at the heart of the psychic web the strings of influence were so concentrated that they became visible to the naked eye. Bundles of arachnid silk-like fibers and dendrites of neurons covered the monster.

Long reproductive organs that were a mixture of normal biology and warp-born nightmares hung to the floor of the chamber. The being itself was surrounded by golden light and frozen in place.

He stared at the captured Psychneuein Queen and wondered.

Such atrocity should be rare. requiring special conditions for creation. These beasts are extremely dangerous, not only because of their enormous size and wild behavior, but also because of their ability to spread their vile brood across the stars. Large, bloated, powerfully psychic, and exceptionally strong and resilient, Queen Psychneuein is a deadly foe, the kind of creature only the mightiest and most determined of warriors can hope to fight.

'Then how did a regular psyker capture her?' he wondered.

"My lord, I was expecting you," answered an unknown voice and an older man who looked like the scholars her father had in his service.

"This is my son Magnus" his father introduced him to the old man and added introducing the old man "Magnus, this is Amon from Tizca"

At the old man's name, he felt a mixture of joy and happiness, the cause of which he did not know. It was as if he met someone close to him who was lost a long time ago and finally found him.

His father approached the captive Psychneuein Queen and laid his hand on her and she immediately vanished as if she had never existed.

"She safe," her father replied to her shocked expression and added with a smile, "You two should get to know each other better because you'll probably work together."

One moment he was there and the next he just disappeared.

For his father, this was not the first time that he suddenly disappeared, just evaporating without a trace.

Every time it was mysterious.

A few steps and he approached the old man and introduced himself holding out his hand "I am Magnus the Red".

The old man just smiled and squeezed his hand as hard as he could "I am Amon from Tizca, I am glad to be able to help my master's children"

(Third person POV) (Colchis)

On the outskirts of Segmentum Pacificus lay a planet called Colchis. A massive world, three times larger than Terra. It took 4.8 Terran years to orbit its sun and 170.4 Terran hours to rotate once on its axis. Mountains and deserts once dominated the land.

The once advanced planet degraded into a feudal state during the Old Night.

The planet became an incarnation of horror and corruption after the cultists performed a mass ritual that turned the planet into a teetering sphere of eternal chaos.

On the surface of Colchis, the landscape is not even similar to what could be found in nature. Space sandstorms rage above ground, raising towers of sand that twist and shape into warped shapes. Distant seas and lakes have a black surface, filled with strange and unknown creatures that lurk beneath the surface, waiting for their next victims.

The laws of physics have lost their meaning. Gravity is unstable, at times strong and overwhelming, then suddenly gone And walking often becomes a challenge and a frequent danger for those brave enough to try to escape. The flow of time is not always stable because in some areas an eternity has passed and in others only a second.

Mountains are transformed into huge beasts that stretch towards the sky, dark forests emit ominous vibrations, and rivers flow with a black liquid that is not water, but a liquid of pure corruption. The sky is always dark and the clouds are constantly changing, changing from red to green, creating an uncomfortable feeling and setting up inexplicable phenomena.

The whole planet is full of daemons who don't care about human life. Their only goal was to dominate, to feed on human emotions and souls.

Across the Warp, the shrieking voices of millions emanated from the planet, pleading for mercy that remained forever unattainable.

But now the situation is changing.

The portal from the sea of souls unexpectedly opens on its own, revealing a display of endless legions of angels. Their arrival should mark new hope for the enslaved population. Alas, the angels quickly realize that the entire population is already corrupted and lost, as is the planet itself. Their master ordered them to cleanse the planet of corruption, it doesn't matter how.

The entire sky of Colchis is covered with armies of angels led by Archangel Diniel. Their shining wings continue to move rapidly, creating a powerful whirlwind that batters the surface.

The battle begins immediately with a momentary confrontation, as angels and daemons clash in a spectacular clash of order and chaos. Light illuminates the darkness as a dark energy hovers over the angelic soldiers. Swords and claws collide in the air as every moment is filled with sparking power.

Diniel leads his troops bravely, using his divine power against the enemy. The flaming sword leaves a trail of light as it cuts through the line of demons, breaking their ranks. The angelic army is launched as a single being, trapping the daemons.

As the battle of Colchis heats up, the power of the angels grows stronger and more steadfast. The light that emanates from their heart flames illuminates the darkness and burns everything before them. Regardless of the losses they have suffered, the angels continue to march.

Led by Diniel, the angelic army organizes itself into tactical formations, creating a wall of impenetrable resistance. Their flaming swords dance in the angel's hands, piercing the demon's spine. Each of their blows seems to be accompanied by an angelic call for divine help, as they are all surrounded by an invisible shield that protects them from demonic attacks.

His sword, shrouded in golden flames, dazzles with its immense power. In an instant, moving like lightning, Archangel Diniel fells the strongest Great Daemon, throwing him to the ground. His angels follow suit, terrifying the demons with their own irresistible blows.

The Great Daemon's fall causes a massive scattering of Daemon soldiers as it begins to retreat en masse back into the Warp.

Diniel senses that the most corruption is coming from the main temple of the Alliance in Vharadesh and instantly teleports in front of the temple entrance.

The entrance to the interior of the temple is surrounded by black, gray and dark red walls, their appearance a reflection of the darkness that reigned here. The walls are carved with demonic runes, drawn with the blood and tears of the innocent.

The steps they take towards that place are full of calmness and determination. A flaming sword, a symbol of his power, gleams in his hands as he enters through the collapsed door. His presence alone causes a commotion within the walls of the temple.

The rooms are filled with the undertones of chaos energy, but faint before the power of the golden presence. Awash in light, the temple vibrates in unspeakable fear and restlessness.

The temple is unnaturally large, its dark walls covered with layers of dirt and blood.

The smell of rot and sulfur hangs in the air as he approaches the main area.

As he comes to the center of the temple, he sees the altar itself. The altar is made of black stone, decorated with grotesque symbols and distorted sculptures of demons. On the surface of the altar, traces of blood leave dark marks.

Diniel comes closer to the altar and stands in front of it. He feels the whispers of daemonic forces hovering over the temple, a seductive and malevolent expression that tries to deceive every soul.

He hears some sounds and moves away to a part of the temple where he sees two individuals whose death his master ordered.

Kor Phaeron and Erebus.

A little better look gives him an insight into what they are trying to do.

They are trying to open a portal to escape from Colchis.

He won't be able to.

In less than a nanosecond he crosses the distance and stops with the sword over his head and brings it down hard.

Diniel looked at the two, his eyes filled with pure anger. His voice sounds like thunder as he utters the decisive words: "Your reign over Colchis is finished."

The blade of the flaming sword cuts through the air and makes powerful cuts on their bodies that cause them to disappear in an instant. Both cease to exist with body and soul completely destroyed.

He returns to the altar and looks at it with a feeling of anger and without hesitation, he extends his flaming sword and with one blow of the sword burns the altar with golden fire.

The moment the fire hits the altar, an eruption of light like sunlight fills the temple. The temple is shaking, the foundations held by dark forces have shaken.

Diniel turns towards the exit of the temple, his army waiting for him outside. He joins them as the indescribably beautiful sight of angelic wings spreading out, like imposing divine fins, spreads across the sky. The angels raise their singing voices together, creating a hymn of victory that echoes in every corner of ruined Colchis.

As angels fly over Colchis, a golden orb of faceless gold envelops the surface, covering it completely. Golden statues, carved in the form of angelic figures, decorate the surface of the sphere. This transformation symbolizes the transformation of Colchis into the first angelic world, a world completely opposite to the daemonic worlds where total chaos and corruption reign.

The entire planet very quickly found itself completely transformed into a sphere of faceless gold covered with golden statues dedicated to the lord of the universe.

A few more chapters and the first threat to the MC's dominance will emerge. As always, all comments and reviews are welcome.
