Chapter 23: The World's Laws

The kingdom of Ring is one of the largest kingdoms known to man. Outside it's city's borders are fearful and dangerous monsters. Beyond that the forest of white memories, there lies a cave.

Surrounded the cave were high built fences, enchanted with old powerful magic. This magic is used for prevent the monsters to exited the cave. For the said cave is actually the Labyrinth of Hojan.

The Kingdom of Ring is the only country that is nearest to the Labyrinth of Hojan. Reason why the Kingdom of Ring is so wealthy. The monsters of Hojan are very dangerous but very profitable. An example would be monster deer fur, if good conditions it will cause as least five gold peices for one piece of it's fur.

The Kingdom of Ring is also the birth place of mighty heroes and strong adventurers. Heroes in this world are people who are born with blessed talents. Heroes are also born with a special crest upon their bodies. These crests represent the God they were blessed from. Heroes are rare in this world and they would commonly be born in the Ring Kingdom. Because of this, there are times when several heroes are born at the same place but different times.

But if there is more than one hero is born, than that is considered as bad omen. Because more heroes meaning there is risk of a world class danger waiting. Like the cause of a war between countries or a battle against Demon Lords.

There are ten Gods.

God of Fire Clarent; hot-tempered and childish God who blessed the humans with warmth and light from his flames.

God of Water Mizu; calmer than Clarent, however he was much too naive. Mizu blessed the humans with rain and oceans to remain cool.

God of Earth Joyeuse; she is stoic and proud, as Joyeuse blessed the humans land to stand on and roam.

God of Wind Durendal; a God who is lively and free, she blessed the humans with strong winds and gentle breezes.

God of Light Starina; the elder sister of Clarent and Pitchford. Goddess of light and representative of all is good in the world. She blessed humans who worship her, her divine protection.

God of Shadow Pitchford; younger brother of Starina and elder brother of Clarent. God of shadows and all who dwell in it. He blessed humans with the cast of night.

God of Lightning Foudre; energetic and ambitious, Foudre was the God of storms. He blessed the humans with the strange power of electricity.

God of Ice Excalibur; he's cold-hearted and ruthless God, many legends were told of Excalibur battles victories and his relations to kings. He blessed humans mountain made of ice and snow, mountains that could only be climbed by a true king.

God of Time & Space Aether; humble and wise, ruler of all time and space. He blessed his intellect and wisdom to those who truly deserve of it.

God of Monsters Lucifer; he is what most describe as mysterious. Not many legends were told about this God but one thing. He blessed humans rivals of survival.

Each God rule their own domain, and they have their own rule to up hold for each Hero they bless. If a Hero breaks their God's rule, they severely punish. For the God of Fire as an example: You must never lie. If that unfortunate Hero broke that rule, their body will be engulfed in flames.

Story of the Gods

Once upon a time in ancient times, there was a war between Lucifer the evil God against the Gods of heaven. The war began with Lucifer taking in a human child. The child was abandoned and sick, Lucifer felt pity for the poor child. However, when word came around about Lucifer caring for a human child.

The other Gods grew weary and suspicious, for the God of Monsters caring for a human child? It was unheard of, the Gods were confused. Soon the God of Fire Clarent had enough, and decided to speak to the other Gods to save the human child from Lucifer. However, some of the Gods disagreed with Clarent, so the Gods placed a vote. If to take the human child from Lucifer or to just leave it be.

The Gods who agreed were Clarent, Mizu, Joyeuse, Durendal and Foudre.

The Gods who disagreed were Starina, Pitchford, Excalibur and Aether.

When the decision was made, the five Gods went their way to Lucifer's domain. But when they did, the Gods found Lucifer holding the child of not a human, but of a demon. It was then they realized that Lucifer had turned the human into a monster. Engulfed with rage, Clarent attacked Lucifer and battle broke out between the Gods.

Thus that's how the start of the War of Gods began. Ending with Lucifer defeat, but before Lucifer could summited to the five Gods. He cast a powerful spell upon all of the nine Gods and himself. To drain all of the Gods of their power and store it ten legendary blades. The swords were named by the Gods power and soon gained the title of the heavenly swords. The swords of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind and Lightning were sent to human kingdoms while the other swords were lost in mystery.

The Ring Kingdom is one of these human kingdoms. Kingdom of  Ring or by its other name The kingdom of Gold.
