The Gangster and His Prince (BL)

Prince Noir was an illegitimate child of the Emperor of Ray Kingdom. He grew up in a secret sect, learning from a reclusive master until, on his eighteenth birthday, his Emperor father came to pick him up. Noir worked diligently for his big brother the Crown Prince Licht, and his fame as a capable and intelligent prince spread far and wide. Until, on his twenty first birthday, Noir fell off the imperial viewing tower. And landed in a bathtub. A bathtub with a very handsome man in it. A handsome man with the face of his reclusive master…! “Master…!” Noir cried tearfully. “You saved me again…!” The handsome man pointed a gun at Noir’s head in response.

Avoiding an Annoying Pest

"My chest feels strange," Solis murmured.

Noir was immediately concerned. "What happened? Does it hurt? Tell me exactly how you feel!" he said hurriedly.

Solis clutched his chest. "It feels tight here…and then I feel a little light-headed," he said.

Noir immediately checked his pulse and blood pressure and oxygen levels. He frowned. "You're too stressed, I think," he said. "Rest for a while. I'll prepare something soothing for you to relieve your symptoms. Try not to think about disturbing things…and if you can't help it, distract your mind like I taught you, all right?"

Solis nodded obediently.

Noir ran downstairs and went to the kitchen. He issued some rapid instructions to the cook and started concocting a calming tea with lavender and sweet pea flowers. He added a couple of fresh mint leaves in the end and sweetened it with white sugar to maintain the beautiful shade of azure. Refined sugar was something that had endeared himself greatly to Noir, who had a massive sweet tooth.

The light snacks he had asked the cook to prepare were ready, too. He checked them once and then carried the tea and the snacks upstairs to Solis.

"Young Master Noir really dotes on Boss Solis, doesn't he?" the cook murmured enviously. "If my partner was only half as attentive…"

A warning look from the butler shut her up. The butler, an old loyal fellow who had grown up with Solis's father and had looked after Solis since he was born, was quite satisfied with Young Master Noir. He pursed his lips. Boss Titan, Solis's father, had made only one mistake in his life…it was bringing that woman home after the original madam passed.

The butler was one of the rare people in Solis's childhood home who didn't like his stepmother. However, it was not in his place to comment on his master's new wife, so, instead, he had dedicated himself to looking after Solis whole-heartedly. When Solis moved overseas to study after high school, Butler Hans had gone with him happily, and had remained with him as he built his business empire while still at college and when Boss Titan had passed away five years ago, leaving Chaos Demon to Solis. It was only with the dedicated assistance and experience of Butler Hans and a few other old hands that Boss Solis had been able to quickly take full control of Chaos Demon and earn the gang's acknowledgement and respect. It was a pity that this bright twenty five year old had been reduced to such a state…

Butler Hans sighed. He had been very worried about Boss Solis's mental state since his injury…but the arrival of Young Master Noir was like a breath of fresh air. Even if he didn't show it, Boss Solis was getting better – for a pair of old, experienced eyes like that of Butler Hans, it was clear as day.

And what made it even better was that Young Master Noir genuinely cared for Boss Solis, despite his tendency to keep people at an arm's length. And with what had happened this morning, Butler Hans knew that the family must have behaved improperly again. Boss Solis didn't reveal the details, but from what little he had said and how calm he'd been after a meeting with the family (as well as from the worshipful eyes of Alpha and Delta as they glanced at Young Master Noir), Butler Hans had deduced that Young Master Noir had told them off quite beautifully.

It was at this moment that Butler Hans decided that he would get some proper books on relationships for Young Master Noir instead of the third-grade drama that passed as romance and the ridiculous nonsense Boss Solis had been filling his head with. Young Master Noir was, after all, a perfect partner for Boss Solis and Butler Hans was determined to do everything in his power to get them to make their relationship official as soon as possible!

Upstairs, Solis was enjoying the tea that was as much a feast for his eyes as his tongue. A sense of calmness and contentment washed over him as he sipped the tea and nibbled on some snacks.

"Are you feeling better now?" Noir asked after some time.

Solis nodded. "Thank you," he said.

Noir shook his head. "You don't have to thank me for every little thing, you know," he murmured.

While our two main characters were relaxing upstairs in the villa, the security team was dealing with a bunch of gangsters from Dragon's Breath at the main gate of the estate.

Unsurprisingly, the group was led by Martis.

"I just want to see my big brother," Martis said. "Surely I can do that?"

"Boss Solis is unwell and unable to entertain visitors," the chief security guard told Martis.

"Then I can see my brother's boyfriend," Martis said, with a smirk. The real purpose of his visit at this time was actually to meet Noir. He couldn't forget the cool and elegant young man he'd seen earlier. Such a beautiful and eloquent man was surely wated on Solis!

"Young Master Noir is taking care of Boss Solis and is unable to entertain visitors," the chief security guard informed him expressionlessly.

"Tell him to come out to greet me at least," Martis insisted.

Seeing Martis's greedy eyes, the guards became aware of his ill-intentions towards Young Master Noir, and became even more determined to drive him away! Boss Solis *finally* had someone in his life, and this person was an excellent young man – they wouldn't let anyone take him away from their Boss!

"Please withdraw, or we shall be forced to consider this a Dragon's Breath assault on the Boss of Chaos Demon and act accordingly." The chief security guard announced and nodded at his men, who immediately readied their weapons.

The men accompanying Martis pulled him back from causing further trouble.

No one wanted a mob war at this time. Boss Solis might have been weakened, but Chaos Demon was still a mammoth that could be mobilised at his word. Dragon's Breath would be at a great disadvantage if that happened!

Yay! Power stones can now be used to vote! Please send me a few if you like Noir and Solis so far! Thank you!
