Bastard Child

ONE WEEK AGO

Vale woke up and groaned when she felt the pain at the back of her head.

She remembered that she had gone up to visit her family before she got into an accident on her way home.

Vale opens her eyes slowly and smiled coldly.

She knew it was not a simple accident.

If it was, how come she’s here with her hands and foot tied up?

She was lying on a cold, dirty, cemented floor.

There were a dozen sacks of grains lining up on the walls around her.

From the looks of it, she seems to be in a warehouse.

The only way out is through the door. There was no window for her to climb down at all.

Vale squinted her eyes as she looked around her, trying to find something to cut the rope around her wrists and ankles.

However, the flickering lights on the ceiling are not helping her at all.

After a few minutes of scooting around like a caterpillar, Vale finally gave up. There’s nothing useful in the warehouse to help her get rid of the ropes.

Vale leaned on one of the grains sacks, panting heavily.

The person who tied her up must know his/her way around the rope.

The way she/he tied the rope around was imposing and unique.

She never encountered such method of tieing a person before.

Vale’s eyes flashed for a second.

This person would contribute very much in her gang if she were to recruit him.

Vale’s eyes dimmed.

But, why would this person got her into an accident, kidnap her and tied her up?

The sound of hurried footsteps enters her ears.

Not long after, a black-clothed person opens the door and bowed at the person who walks in.

Vale lifted her head, and her eyebrows shot up in surprise.

She clicked her tongue, “My, my. To what do I owe this pleasure?”

The noble-looking woman who entered the room looked down at the woman on the floor with an ugly face.

She looked condescendingly at her, “I’m pregnant.”

Vale stiffen for a moment before she looked at the woman coldly, “What does it have to do with me?” she raised an eyebrow.

“You and him are impossible. I’ve already told him and his family about the baby. Do you know what they said to me? I’m carrying their family’s heir. In other words, I will have to marry him soon.” she announced proudly.

“So what? You kidnapped me and tied up just to tell me this?” Vale sneered.

The noblewoman looked at the door.

Vale followed her gaze and frowned when she saw that woman.

Why is she here?

“Why are you here?” Vale asked.

However, the woman ignored her and approached the noblewoman with a smile.

“Ms River, thank you for your help.”

Sherry smiled, “It’s nothing. We’re friends. Friends are supposed to help each other.”

Vale felt nausea watching the drama fold in front of her.

Seriously, they couldn’t be more fake!

“Are you done? If you are, then, let me go.” Vale said, agitated.

“Ms Anderson, do you want me to get rid of her?” Sherry asked, ignoring Vale.

“No need. I will settle the score between this whore and me once and for all.” Mia shakes her head lightly.

Vale’s lips twitched with annoyance. However, she couldn’t help glancing her stomach for a second.

Her gaze flashed with concern for a mere second.

“Then, I will leave her to you. I’m going out now. Please, take care of yourself.” Sherry patted Mia’s arm gently before striding out of the warehouse.

After Sherry left, the smile on Mia’s face disappeared instantly as she looked at Vale with disgust and hatred.

“You really were a whore. She’s pregnant with her fiancee’s baby, and you still dreamed of seducing him to your bed.”

Vale looked down at the floor, unable to look at the flour-faced woman in front of her.

“Oh, really? Where’s the proof? From what I remember, someone here has an experience of snatching boyfriend from their girlfriend as well.” Vale gave her a mocking smile.

Mia stomped her foot and gritted her teeth in anger, “What do you mean by that?! I’m not a whore!”

Vale smirked, “I didn’t say that you’re a whore.”

Mia balled her hands into a fist as she fumed.

“Someone come over here and beat this whore up for me!” she yelled.

A few bulky men rushed inside the warehouse.

Looking at the pretty woman tied up on the floor, they couldn’t resist salivating.

Vale shivered in disgust at the crazed look on their eyes.

“You know what to do,” Mia said before turning around to leave.

“Wait!” Vale shouted.

Mia halted her steps, and a crooked smile appeared on her face before she turned around to face Vale.

“What?”

“You said it. This is between us. There’s no need to use other people to settle scores.” Vale struggles to sit up with a determined look on her face.

“What propositions do you have?” Mia asked, crossing her hands over her chest.

“Untied me first.”

Mia thought for a second before she gestured one of them to untie her.

Vale looked at the bulky man who’s approaching her and couldn’t help feeling disappointed.

A talented man with a pervert’s mind!

Vale rubbed her red wrist.

The man turned around for a second, and Vale uses the opportunity to strike the man’ neck with her right hand.

The man groaned for a second before he fell on the hard floor, face first, with a loud bang.

Vale took the moment of confusion to slip away from the warehouse.

“What are you doing? Catch her!” Mia yelled at the same time Vale slipped past the door.

She saw a few guards in front of the door.

Seeing Vale, they immediately sprung out into action.

However, Vale knocked them down just in a few minutes.

She panted as she looked at the pile of bodies laying on the ground.

She looked around her and was surprised to see that there was a shopping mall a few meters away.

Her mouth curved up.

Mia and Sherry brought her here?

Are they stupid?

Without wasting any second, she dashed to the shopping mall.

However, a fuming voice also followed her all the way inside the shopping mall.

People looked at her dirty appearance and immediately moved out of the way.

“You whore! How dare you seduced my husband! I’m already pregnant with his son! And now you’re pregnant too!”

Vale ignored Mia’s crazy endeavour and kept walking past the people around the mall quickly.

Very quickly, some people stood aside and watched the scene unfold as they pointed at her.

Whispering and sneering at her.

Vale ignored the looks and kept her head down the whole time as she jogged away.

“You bitch! I bet your mom is a whore too! Your child is a bastard child!” Mia went crazy when Vale kept ignoring her snide remarks.

Humph!

It’s her fault for running here. Let’s see how much more she can endure. Mia wanted to make sure to embarrassed her completely today.

Vale froze.

Her body trembles.

Seeing this, Mia laughed mentally in victory.

“Mia?”

Mia turns her head around when she heard a familiar voice, “Kayden?”

“What are you doing here?”

“I...” Mia opens her mouth to speak, but it was too late when she looked towards Vale.

Vale turns around, lifted the gun tucked on her boot and...Bang! Bang! Bang!
