"But you survived for six years, a few more is not a big deal."
Shawn did not miss the sarcasm behind Kathleen's words but he overlooked it, knowing she was still fixated on his actions back then.
"That was because I still had a glimmer of hope that one day you will come back to me. And thank the heavens they sent you back, now I can't imagine what life without you will be like."
"And for those six years, I was living a life worse than death," Shawn confessed. It wasn't just a way of getting her back into his life, it was the fact.
Their eyes met but Kathleen broke it off, then
said, "But I have someone else in my life now and we are happy together."
Shawn's eyes turned cold and furious. How can she tell him to his face that she was fucking around with someone else when he, her husband was still alive.
