Won't stoop that low

"Susan, don't let me ever see you step foot into my house again. Is that clear?" Susan knew very well how her mother treated her and that when she said something to her, she meant it. Like now. Her mother really doesn't want to see her again.

"Mom" Susan started again and Tabitha wanted to try to stop her again but she cut in quickly to say her thoughts or else she would never get the courage to say it. "You know, I always wondered if I am truly your daughter and you know why, because you never treat me like I am. I know you never liked me but I never knew it was to the extent where you don't even believe me. I mean which mother doesn't believe that her daughter is innocent. I tried doing all you wanted me to do and maybe… just maybe you would be happy with me and you would look at me once. Just once. But you never do. Should I list examples of what you told me to do and I did it?" Susan paused looking at the stunned woman in front of her then she continued. "Going to the classes and places that Ivy wants, pretending like I'm dumb and Ivy is smarter than I am in everything, being Ivy's shadow, telling me to cancel my score snd put something lower than Ivy's, going to the same school as Ivy even though it's not where I want to go? You know, there's a lot more that this. But I never complained... because I wanted to make you happy. But you never saw anything I did for you. Yes, I admit that I am envious of Ivy because she gets what she wants anytime as long as she crys and whines, she goes anywhere she wants and doesn't even have to come back the whole night, she has the love of every one around her and I don't. But I would not and would never stoop this low as to send her somewhere dangerous. I even want to ask you this question. Am I really your daughter? Also do you think if I wanted to do something to Ivy, I would wait till today when I had the chance almost everyday? Well, you are very foolish to think that" Susan paused again before she continued again.

"You know what mom? I think you're pathetic." Susan said smiling this time but with pain and anguish. The surrounding people could tell she wasn't smiling because she felt happy, but because there was to much pain in her heart. Susan continues "Why? Because you've are trying all ways to stay in power in this family. Did you think I did not know that you did all those things for Ivy to make her happy because if she's happy, her dad is and so he wouldn't want to separate from you? But your mistake was thinking that Ivy is really your daughter. And forgetting that you have a real daughter whom you neglected. That is why I said you are Patheti.."

Tabitha slapped Susan again after waking up from her stunned and dazed state because all what Susan said was true. Everything she said was true. she neglected her daughter for another woman's daughter for power. This was her sore spot because she always thought of it too.

Pointing at the door Tabitha said "Out" trying to suppress her rage, "And don't ever let me see you again".

"Even you wouldn't want to come back to a family like this if you were treated the way I'm treated" Susan said walking out in her hospital robe. By now, her body was covered in bandages and her face was swollen but she tried to act tough and strong even though she was feeling the exact opposite. She felt weak. Extremely weak.

As she was walking, she heard Derek's voice from behind her "Wait for me outside Susan." she stopped for a moment before walking out.

A few minutes later, Derek came out and handed her a card. Susan looked at it and scoffed at him.

"Do you think I waited here to get your charity? I know what you're thinking. I'd bet that you are thinking along the line that 'She's likely to do it after all Ivy never treated her nicely and she did it to get revenge' then on another side you're thinking 'But she not the type to do this. Why would she do it when she's with Ivy and when she knows others would suspect her as the most likely suspect?'" As Susan said all this, she watched as the face of the man before her turned paler with every word she said and she knew that she was right.

"I don't need your money. Even if I leave this place without a penny, I'll never accept or beg you guys for money". Saying this, Susan turned around and left without looking back while Derek stood there looking at her back as she left. In his mind, he was thinking 'was she always this smart? Why did she hide it? Was what she said to Tabitha really true?' But he had nobody to answer his questions for him.
