I was all over the place, trying to prepare myself for this visit. Jail visit, to be exact. Caleb was also scrambling around, anxious, from being able to see his parents again in months.

I drank the rest of my iced cold coffee, and put the cup in the sink. Caleb made sure his clothes were presentable, and brushed his hair back.

"You ready?" Caleb asked, anxiously.

"…I am, if you are," I responded, hesitantly.

"Paige. You don't have to come, if you don't want to. Alright?"

"I can't let you go alone. The royal family is the reason behind this mess, and it's my duty to fix all of it!" I exclaimed.

"I don't want this to be uncomfortable for you…" Caleb uttered.

"I’m already uncomfortable as it is about this whole situation, trust me. But, we’re going to figure this out together,” I let out.

Caleb approached me, and started to slowly caress my hand, while planting a kiss on my forehead. My stress began to decrease, and I felt at ease for just that moment.
