Chapter 33: The Past

I stood there, surprised to see Caleb here. He had managed to get me out to the harbor, onto a boat, and now on the lower level of the boat.

"Caleb?!" I yelled.

"Paige, just wait and listen to me for a moment." He begged.

"You told Alex about me?!" I immediately chimed in.

"Just listen to me for one second."

"Sure, I guess," I uttered.

"I know you're mad about Alex knowing your identity, along with the whole Vienna situation. But I want to make amends, and make it up to you," Caleb announced.

I looked around the room. It was beautiful, beyond what I could imagine. The room was simply filled with compassion.

My eyes met with Caleb's, and I instantly felt in sync with him. There was no better feeling than this. My heart started to beat rapidly, and my chest felt on fire.

He had roped me back in, once again.

"How were you able to get this room to yourself?" I asked.
