Chapter 26: Night Out
Being here at the bar lifted a whole weight off my shoulder. I had already met a new friend tonight, named Vienna. Vienna and I instantly clicked, to the point that I felt like I’ve known her since forever. We’ve been here for almost an hour, just talking and laughing together. I was two shots in, having the time of my life. It felt nice, maybe even too good to be true.
“Hey, there’s this party I’m going to soon…and wanted to know if you’d be interested in coming along?” Vienna asked.
I looked at the time and saw it was already getting late, too late. I’ve never been out later than this. But we were already having too much fun for me to just stop it now.
“I’d love to come along. Where is this party?” I asked.
“It’s this other late night lounge, but it’s invite only.”
“Invite only?”
“Yes, but since you’re coming with me and I’m well known around there…it should be all good,” she reassured me.
“Alright with me.”
