The Fifth House (HP and DxD)

A figure walked down a corridor bustling with students—all the eyes turned to her. The hushed whispers of the students resounded, spreading the rumors. "She must be a demon." "She is a devil's daughter." The figure smiled, hearing them, and silently murmured, "You are correct..." ----------------------------------- What to expect? I don't know...

They were scammed...

Lumina felt like laughing as she watched from her seat on a comfortable-looking black leather sofa how the trio sitting on the hard and cold floor stared at the contracts resting on Harry's lap.

It was simply too funny to watch how they struggled in the vain attempt to find some non-existent trickery.

Still, her patience was slowly but surely approaching its limit, 'For, father's sake, what are they studying so long about three sentences?!'

She would swear she even saw veins pulsing on Hermiona's temple with how focused she looked.

'Are the demons such large scammers, or is the grandfather so good at brainwashing the masses?'

She stopped as she realized the weird thing she thought about, 'Grandfather? It is truly weird to think about my grandfather as if he is an enemy. How could our family end up like this?'

She couldn't help but almost spit in disgust at the family that abandoned her father for some mortals. 'What are humans to their creator? Toys? Pets? Why would he care about them more than about his own family?'

"Hurry up! I am tired and want to go to sleep." No matter how amusing it was to watch them struggle, she could barely keep her eyes open, feeling like she would fall asleep at any moment.

"Do not try to distract us, demon!"

"Watch them and wake me if they try something funny."She silently hissed at one of many demonic statues decorating the room and turned back as she slowly walked into the long, dark corridor of doors, already having enough of it. She wanted to sleep!

POV Ron:

"Can't we go, Harry? I don't like this place." Ron couldn't shake the unsettling feeling of being under constant scrutiny.

The presence of the menacing winged statues scattered all around only intensified his unease. Each one seemed to exude an aura of malevolence, their unblinking eyes seemingly fixed on him no matter where he turned. He could even swear they moved when he wasn't looking.

However, Hermione shut him down, "Quiet, we are here because of you. Now focus and try to find anything suspicious in the contract."

'Bossy as always.' He couldn't help but feel like his two friends were overthinking it.

'Lumina seems nice and said multiple times she didn't take it. Hermione is probably just freaking out.' He no longer believed the nonsense of the sweet girl of his age being some demon, stealing human souls after being so long with her in a single room. He was scared, but it was faulth of the statues, not the girl.

'The teachers and the headmaster would never allow some soul-stealing monster to freely roam the school. Yes, she is a bit scary, but I am sure I would have felt if my soul was gone.' What scared him more were the creepy statues all around them, making him want to leave as soon as possible.

He yawned, his eyes hurting just from a single glance at the paper of text so boring it would make even a dementor fall asleep. He couldn't understand what they were studying for so long as there were only three sentences!

POV Lumina the next morning:

The red-head boy was sleeping on the floor while the two remaining members of the miraculous trio stared at her, their eyes reddened from the lack of sleep.

"Ehmm, we have verified the contract, there is nothing wrong with it."

"Of course, I told so. You could have saved yourself a lot of time if you had just listened to me."

"Enough, let's sign this and end this."

Lumina briefly glanced at the two contracts and read through their content, making sure that nothing had changed, 'It would be too embarrassing if I got scammed instead.'

1. Party A, specified by the signature at the left side of the bottom side of the contract, will be obliged to find two more interested signators, Party D for Party B, Lumina Morningstar, under the condition their souls will be preserved and remain in the possession of Party D.

2. Party A will also pay ten units of their soul energy each day while the first condition of the contract remains unfulfilled. (causing mild tiredness)

3. Party B will return the soul of Party C, Ronald Weasley, back to the possession of Party C if it is in her possession or ever was in her possession.

Seeing it remained unchanged, she smiled and signed both of them with a stroke of her pen.

The contracts were simple, making Lumina chuckle at how it all worked out.

'I am surprised they agreed on the second point. I would think they would be more hesitant about bringing more people to scam to me.'

It was like a giant pyramid scheme, where the people she scammed would bring more victims to her.

"Now, get out, or we will all be late to our classes!"
