We Meet Again. Again

Lucia returned to her desk and was surprised to see everyone standing in two straight lines facing each other, and bowing their heads a little. From Lucia's point of view, they looked like Kungfu students ready to start fighting.

Lucia chuckled lightly, earning her a stare from her colleagues

" I'm sorry " Lucia muttered in apology

" Lucia " Finn called from behind, Lucia turned to look at him

" Let's go line up in front that's where our department is " Finn said grabbing Lucia's hand and pulling her along with him

" Why are we lining up? " Lucia asked confused

" The boss is coming in " Finn replied still holding her

" The boss? You mean the CEO? " Lucia asked for confirmation.

Finn fitted himself into a line in the front and Lucia did so too, everyone had their heads bowed so Lucia was obligated to do the same.

' Liam Henderson ' Lucia thought as she bowed her head a little

The only thing Lucia knew about the CEO of Light Empire was his name and the fact that he's a multi-billionaire who inherited the company from his father.

' Wait a minute... Why does he have the same last name with that obnoxious celebrity ' Lucia thought.

' Maybe they're siblings or cousins ' Lucia nodded in convincion

' Moreso it's a common name, even my dog could bear Henderson ' Lucia continued to delude herself.

' There's no way that obnoxious man could be the owner of Light... ' It was then it hit Lucia that the company was called Light Empire

Lucia was the closest to the door so she had a clear view of the outside.

' If we're bowing then he must be outside... Just...one... ' Lucia slowly tilted her head towards the door as she thought

'... Little...peak and I'll be sure ' She said in her head.

She completely tilted her head towards the door and her eyes are met with the sight of Light Henderson stepping out of his car with Kyle holding up the door for him.

" Blood of Jesus! " Lucia shrieked, she flung her head up and instantly covered her mouth with both hands.

She looked at the workers who were all looking at her and muttered apologies to them.

" Miss Camden, are you okay? " Finn asked, concerned

' Not at all ' Lucia replied in her head

" Yes... I just remembered I didn't do something I was meant to do " Lucia lied

" Okay then, if you say so " Finn said, not wanting to push any further

Lucia returned to where she was standing and bowed her head slightly, she recalled what she told him the last time.

' Let's not meet again ' Lucia recalled and shrieked again, once again getting the attention of all the workers around her.

" Are you not feeling well Lucia " Carla asked out of concern

" A little " Lucia lied once more

" Go to the health center after we greet the boss " Palmer said

" OK " Lucia replied and bowed her head a third time

' I should thank God that my head's bowed down ' Lucia thought.

" He's here " A lady said and Lucia's heart pounded faster

' All I have to do is breathe and keep my head down until he passes by '

The security officers opened the door and Liam Henderson followed by his entourage stepped into the building.

' Breathe Lucia '

" Welcome Sir " Everyone except Lucia greeted Liam as he walked past them

Lucia heaved a sigh of relief when Liam walked past her, she tilted her head to look at him, she stared at his spikey hair she so much loved and adored, but her moments are cut short when Liam turned abruptly making her fling her head the opposite direction immediately.

" Ah... I was informed we'll be having new recruits today, I'd like to congratulate you on becoming a part of the Empire, I know how hard it must have been to get through all the stages of interviews but I'd also love to let you know that it is comparatively easy to lose your jobs at Light Empire as I and the Empire at large will not condone any form of insolence or wrong work attitude such as slacking off or late coming, so any time you intend to do such, prepare a resignation letter as well, Light Empire pays highly for your services, I don't waste money and I have no intentions to start doing so, as lastly don't think too highly of yourself by saying words like ' I'm a vital part of Light Empire '... " Liam paused for a while, his eyes fixed on the woman who stared the wall while everyone was staring at him

" ... No one here is irreplaceable. Have a good day " Liam sounded more like a warning and turned to his office taking the staircase to the surprise of Kyle.

" Was that an orientation or a threat? " Lucia heard a new recruit beside her saying to her friend

" I have goosebumps on my face " The girl's friend replied shivering

" Liam Henderson has never been a sweet talker so don't bother much " Finn said to Lucia on noticing how destabilized she was by Liam's speech

" Does he give empty threats " Lucia asked Finn looking distraught

" Well, all I can do is advise you not to cross paths with him " Finn said and with that he was gone

" Why is everyone saying the same thing? " Lucia muttered to herself

Lucia walked to her desk and plopped herself down on the seat

" This wasn't the first day of work I imagined for myself " Lucia kept talking to herself.

Meanwhile Liam watched from the staircase how distracted Lucia was, the truth was, he had seen her through the glass door earlier on, and judging from the way she acted during his orientation speech till now, she knew who he was.

" Boss I think she knows who you are but she doesn't know that you know who she is , and she also doesn't know that you know that she knows who you are... I think " Kyle said, partially confused.

"... She does not know that you know that she knows that..." Kyle was saying before Liam cut in

" I get it " Liam cut in, his eyes never leaving Lucia

" Is my schedule for today packed? " Liam asked Kyle

" Yes... You barely..." Kyle was saying before Liam interrupted again

" Shorten it " Liam said and walked into his office, Kyle trailed behind him

" Hello " Someone who stood in front of Lucia said to her

Lucia looked up and her eyes are met with a man's brown eyes

" Good day, how many I help you " Lucia stood up to receive her client

" Can I know where the graphics department is? " The man asked

" Do you have something for them? " Lucia replied with a question

" Yes " The man replied

" Have a seat over there " Lucia said pointing to a vacant seat meant for clients, she made a quick call to the graphics department and hung up.

" Please take a turn by your right , take the elevator to the third floor " Lucia said to the man

" Thank you" The man replied

" You're welcome " Lucia smiled and the man headed off to thw direction he was told

" Maybe I should just focus on work for today " Lucia said to herself.

Lucia brought out a mirror from her bag and fixed her crazy hair that had roughen from all the shrieking.

Time flew faster than Lucia expected as she busied herself with work, soon it was evening almost time for her to go home.

She received a beep from a message notification and checked her phone.

" Awwn " Lucia smiled when she saw the congratulatory message Jada sent her.

She had almost forgotten about Liam Henderson. Almost

Looking down on her phone, Lucia noticed someone stood in front of her.

' Last client for the day ' Lucia thought it was a client and immediately raised up her head, but to her greatest surprise, it wasn't a client.

" Mr Henderson " Lucia muttered, keeping the honorifics
