She's My Fiancee

" She's with me, " An oddly familiar voice said from behind.

Lucia turned to look at the person who was talking.

' Light? ' Lucia's eyes widened in surprise.

" So we meet again, " Liam Henderson smiled.

Flashback

At the office

Liam stepped out of the office, Kyle patiently waited for him outside the Empire.

" Let's go " Liam ordered

" Do you plan on attending Maria's Gala tonight? " Kyle asked once Liam got close to him.

" Honestly speaking I'm not sure I'd like to take such a long journey tonight " Liam gave excuses.

" Long journey? That's quite the word " Kyle scoffed

Liam's phone rang and he got into the car.

" Who might that be if I may ask? " Kyle started the car.

" I have no idea why Yvette has been calling me nonstop... " Liam looked outside the window as he spoke to Kyle.

" You should hear what she wants to say to you, " Kyle advised.

As though on cue, Liam's phone rang again.

" Speak of the devil " Liam smirked and picked the call.

Kyle snickered and shaked his head.

" Yvette Henderson " Liam addressed his mom by her name.

" Do you want me to die before my time? " Yvette Henderson cried over the phone.

" What do you mean? " Liam asked coldly.

" Today I was with my friends and... " Yvette Henderson was interrupted by Liam.

" If what you're aiming at is making me feel guilty then..." Liam snapped at Yvette coldly.

" It's not going to work " Liam said coldly and cut the call.

Kyle felt deep anger emanating from Liam,having been his secretary and close friend for quite a while, Kyle knew how well Liam hated feeling guilty.

" Let's go to the Gala " Liam said out of the blue.

" Yes " Kyle agreed, that was the best thing to do to cool off Liam's temper.

The ride to Maria's event center was quiet. Liam found himself deep in thought, ever since his father passed away a year ago, his mom had been so keen on him settling down, he knew it was part of her fears and he was meant to reassure her but Liam hated being pushed around.

Suddenly the car stopped and Liam returned from the world in his head.

" Are we there? " Liam looked up.

" Yes " Kyle replied and exited the car, he opened the car door for Liam to step out.

Liam walked further away from Kyle to call Maria.

" I'm here at the entrance, " Liam said in a low tone when Maria answered the phone.

" I already informed the guards that you were coming, they're expecting you " Maria responded happy that he honoured her invitation.

" Okay " Liam said crudely and was about to cut the call when Maria spoke.

" I'll meet you at the entrance see you soon "

Maria hung up.

Liam walked back to Kyle and noticed Kyle had a surprised expression on his face.

" Isn't that Lucia Camden? " Kyle asked, surprised.

" Who is Lucia Camden? " Liam asked, confused.

" Your ' mystery woman ' Kyle teased and Liam frowned.

" Lucia Camden " Liam muttered to himself.

' So that's her name ' Liam thought.

" She seems to be having troubles with the security guard, " Kyle said to Liam.

" Let's go " Liam walked towards the entrance of the hall.

" She's with me, " Liam said to the security guard, leaving Kyle confused.

Lucia slowly turned and her surprise was evident in her eyes when she saw Liam.

" Why help her? " Kyle whispered to Liam.

" She owes me " Liam whispered back to Kyle.

' Light? ' Lucia's eyes widened in surprise.

" So we meet again " Liam Henderson smiled mischievously.

" I know...." Lucia thought of a proper way to start her apology to Liam when they got further from the entrance of the Gala hall.

" I've caused you too much trouble over the past few days Mr Henderson " Lucia continued.

" But it wasn't my intention to do so " Lucia said and Liam looked at her in surprise, he did not think he would see her and not here of all places.

" You know I also suffered emotional damages because I bothered you " Lucia continued when he said nothing.

Liam remained quiet leaving Lucia tensed, she kept on thinking of what was going on in Liam's head.

" Compensate me or I'll sue you for defamation " Liam blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.

Lucia went blank for a while before finding her tongue.

" I can't give you more than two hundred dollars, " Lucia protested.

" Services... Pay me with services " Liam said crudely.

" What kind of services? " Lucia asked, she wondered what Liam was keeping at.

" Don't tell me you want to..." Lucia trailed off letting her eyes scroll down her body, her thoughts had taken her to a different dimension.

" Shut up... I'm not interested in random women " Liam snapped at her.

Maria stood at the entrance of the hall watching them with clenched fist, she angrily walked away.

Liam excused himself from Lucia and placed a call to his mom.

" What do you want to choke me with your voice now? " Liam's mom asked.

" Yvette... Are you so convinced that the woman in those photos is my girlfriend? " Liam said ignoring his mom's questions.

" Yes "

" Wait outside for me... I'm coming home and I'm bringing someone " Liam said and cut the call.

He walked back to Lucia who was waiting patiently for him to come back.

" Come somewhere with me, " Liam said sternly.

' I don't believe in fairytales, in reality the rich prince charming does not fall in love with the pauper...but why is Light Henderson pulling me towards his mother? ' Lucia wondered as she glanced at Liam's hand which held her tightly, then his face which wore no expression and then at his Mom who was waiting patiently for them with a smile on her face as she stood in front of the Henderson Villa.

" M..Mr.. H..Henderson w..why a..are y...you..." Lucia stuttered but paused when Liam called out his mom.

" Yvette Henderson..." Liam Henderson called his mom by her name which surprised Lucia.

" I'm home " Liam said to his mother, a shadow of a smile touching his face.

Yvette Henderson cupped Liam's face with her palm, her eyes glittering with so much love as she stared at him like he would disappear in an instant.

" Welcome home my child " Yvette Henderson's smile became brighter.

Lucia stared at the both of them unable to understand why she was there.

" Is she...? " Yvette Henderson asked as she turned to look at Lucia.

" Uhh?..." Lucia wondered what Yvette Henderson was talking about.

' Am I...what? ' Lucia wondered.

" Oh... I almost forgot Yvette Henderson meet Lucia Camden...my fiancée " Liam Henderson said and Lucia went blank.
