The Female Lead

#WSA2024 Have you ever wished of traveling to another world? Traveling to a place filled with magic and magical creatures, being part of a wonderful and powerful family? Being loved and admired by people, especially cute, hot and dreamy guys?. Well, guess what? You are not the only one. One of the things she has ever wished for was to transmigrate to another world, leave her awful, stressful, God forsaken life behind. Meeting handsome and hot guys who would do anything and everything for her attention. Well if wishes were horses, riders would ride. And truly wishes were horses because it finally came true. After another stressful, boring day of work just as she slowly drifted off to sleep Emilia Jones finally transmigrated to her favorite novel ‘Twisted Fate'. A novel that is on everyone's lips, it is all over social media, everyone is dying to know what would happen next as each pages unfold, discovering new path each character takes and not to forget how hot the characters are, especially the male leads. Now Emilia Jones is finally part of the novel but here is a twist, she did not transmigrate to the heroine, who has the purest of heart, her silver long, silky hair glows in the moonlight, with twinkling blue eyes that captivates every soul that gazes at it, her voice was as angelic as ever, enticing every one to it's tune, she was the ride or die of all the male leads. She also didn't transmigrate to the villainess, her heart is colder than ice, her hair darker than ebony and her eyes red as velvet, she was the one many people in the novel feared. Being the one with magical powers that transcended all except the Royal family, she took everything and anything she wanted but she could not have the hearts of the male leads. You would think that she transmigrated as a supporting character but nope, an extra…. Maybe. Her soul passed into the body of a thick skull, half-witted, her stupidity knew no bound. The only thing good about her was that she came from one of the powerful families in the country, her power was known to be the weakest, a flicker of a flame. She was a beauty to a point and she had only a few scenes in the novel and experienced a very idiotic death. She was the beanbrain that Emilia transmigrated into. This was not part of her wish!!.

My Loving Family

"My lady! My lady! Please wake up!" A familiar voice said, shaking me slightly.

I slowly opened my eyes, a hideous figure was staring back at me. I yelled as my heart leaped from my chest.

"It is me Lenora, My lady!" The figure said.

I nodded slowly, memories flooded back in my head. I had a terrified look on my face as I stared at her, gripping her arms and shaking her violently.

"There was a ghost Lenora. I saw a ghost!" I said frantically.

"Can you please let go My lady?" She pleaded.

I heeded to her plea, releasing my grip on her. I looked around the room, vetting for the terrifying creature, my eyes landed on the frightening figure at the far end of the room.

I screamed as loud as my voice could, my head suddenly felt lightheaded. It stood close to Edward and Leo, it seemed like they haven't noticed its presence yet.

"Edward! Leo! The Ghost is beside you!" I yelled, expecting a horrifying reaction from them but to my surprise they began laughing…. at me.

I raised a brow at them, confusion clouded my features.

"Her reaction was worse than ours Edward!" Leo said once the laughter settled.

"I don't understand!" I said, staring at them, my eyes filled with perplexion.

Edward nudged the ghost, I watched as it reached for its face and rip out what seemed to be a mask. I let out a gasp on realizing who it was, The Butler.

"How could you guys do this to me?" I yelled, feeling distrust and angry all at once.

"Oh please! You did it to us first. We had to pay you back for it!" Edward stated.

"Mine was funny. Yours is just pure cruel!" I replied in defense.

A question bothered me more than anything and I had to have an answer.

"How did you guys know about my plan?" I asked, glaring at them for a response.

They exchanged looks before turning to me.

"I heard your maid tell her friends about it!" Edward said, I looked at Lenora, she quickly avoided my gaze "I told Leo and together we both hatched a plan with the butler to frighten you and it worked perfectly well!" He wore a smug look and I really wished to wipe it off his annoying face.

"So, you were both pretending to be afraid?" I questioned.

Edward glanced at Leo before reply "Yes, it was an act!".

"Definitely an act!" Leo added nervously.

"You are marvelous actors, My lords!" One of Lenora's friends complimented out of the blue.

I observed how horrified their faces were on hearing her speak.

"Please, do not talk to us with your face looking like that!" Edward spoke in a frightening tone, his hand was on his chest, as he calmed down.

I held on my laughter. My brothers were definitely not putting on a show when they saw them. They were mortified!.

"It seems we need to have an award, isn't that right Edward?" Leo asked, comically.

My lips curved into a smirk, my eyes gleamed with mischief as my stare intensifies.

"I have your award!" I said in a sly tone.

They looked at me puzzled.

"Where is it?" Edward asked.

I pretended to search for their unknown award around me. When I observed that they were not paying much attention to their surroundings. Acting so quickly, I sent a wave of flames in their direction, it missed them by an inch.

They had a stupefied, horror look as they stared at me, stunned at my sudden behavior.

"Are you insane? Do you want to have us killed?" Leo yelled.

"Yes! This is what you get for frightening your sister!" I yelled back, getting on my feet.

"I didn't train you for months just to be your first victim!" Edward yelled.

I ignored him, being occupied for my next attack.

They both got the hint that I wasn't joking and ran out of the room laughing heartily while I chased them, shooting more flames of fire at them.

"It is not our fault that you fell for it!" Edward yelled as he ran from me, avoiding my attacks.

I ignored his remark, focused more on chasing them whilst attacking.

"Yeah! Let's not forget how you screamed like a terrified kitten!" Leo said in a hilarious tone. They both laughed at his humor and dodged a few more attacks.

"You guys are the worst!" I yelled back.

"Oh Please! We are the best brothers you could ever ask for!" Edward retorted.

I rolled my eyes at his huge ego. Even though he wasn't wrong about it. They were certainly the best brothers a girl could have.

We ran from the West wing to the first floor of the building waking up the entire household with our noisy voices, I didn't give them any breathing space as I chased them down to the gardens.

I laid down on the green grasses, too worn out from chasing my annoying brothers. I had to catch my breath before I passed out. It seems like they got the message and laid down beside me.

Our gaze fixed on the star filled night sky, the stars surrounded the bright full moon, giving off an ethereal, magical glow.

"I am officially tired. You guys win!" I said in defeat.

Silence settled in, the sounds of the cool night breeze rustling the leaves of the trees and the crickets chirping nearby filled the air around us.

"Thank you guys, I really needed this!" Leo said in a genuine tone.

Edward and I exchanged glances before replying.

"We know!".

A blanket of silence fell over us as we each stared at the night sky, this was the first time we have been this close eversince I transmigrated to this world and it felt nice being this close with ones siblings.

"Do you mind if I join you?" A voice so familiar startled us. I sat up to witness my Father approach us. He smiled warmly as he drew nearer.

"Sure Father!" I said, patting the empty space beside me.

With a light groan he laid on the grasses whilst I laid back to.

"It has been so long since I have seen this view!" He said, referring to the sky.

"Yes. It is indeed beautiful!" Edward replied in agreement.

We let out a deep breath while looking at the sky, it felt comforting and relaxing being with people that meant the world to me. It was nice.

"Someone owes me a couple of curtains and drapes!" Father said out loud.

"Rosalind!" Leo and Edward said simultaneously.

I rolled my eyes at them. It was so obvious that they would rat me out the first chance they got.

"Thank you so much guys for telling on me!" I said in a sarcastic tone.

"No one told you to launch a surprise attack in the building!" Edward responded in a defensive tone.

"Well, do not blame me for trying to kill my brothers!" I said casually.

As soon as the words left my mouth we began bickering into the night. My Father kept mute, not uttering a single thing to tell us off. He laid there and It made me ponder if he actually enjoyed our squabble.

As the words of new insults left my mouth, I felt overwhelmed with joy at the family I have come to love. We all had our differences but they never stopped us from spending and enjoying precious moments with each other.
