Chapter 55-Winchester
Margaret woke only when it was dark.
Unusually, the maid hadn't knocked to remind her. As she dragged herself out of bed, Margaret felt disoriented, still sweating. Her nightgown was crumpled and carried a strange odor.
She had no choice but to take another shower.
As she got out of bed, she glanced at Damon out of habit. The half-orc hybrid seemed to be sleeping endlessly, but didn't he need to eat or relieve himself?
Margaret couldn't understand.
Fortunately, the air in the capital was good, her room was clean, and Damon had been asleep for almost a month without gathering much dust.
But he couldn't stay like this forever. Honestly, it was too eerie to have a male orc under a duke's daughter's bed for so long... It sounded like something out of a macabre fairy tale.
Margaret smoothed out the creased bedsheet and headed to the bathroom. She spent a long time there, nearly falling asleep standing up.
