Chapter 88

"How can a compulsion be broken?" I asked.

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?" she questioned, dropping the cup of coffee in front of me and also having another one in her hand. I assumed that the second cup in her left hand was for herself.

I replied, "I'm going to tell you, just answer my question first."

"Okay if you keep insisting on that," she said.

"Compulsion can be broken in different ways. I heard if a normal vampire compels a vampire or anyone, another vampire won’t be able to compel the person, but only if the vampire is a true blood vampire or true blood born vampire. Same goes for you. Your compulsion can break another vampire's compulsion," she explained.

I guess that should be why I was able to compel Mr. Fred even though he was compelled by Rachael before I did, so could that girl be a witch or something? I thought.

"Witches also have the power to help remove a compulsion from the person or supernatural that’s been compelled by a vampire or a hybrid," she added.

"Can they also help the person who was compelled by a true blood-born hybrid?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah, but not all witches have the power to do that, but it’s possible," she replied.

"It seems that is all you want to know, right?" she added.

"Yeah, it’s all I won’t know," I replied.

"But aren’t going to tell me the reason you have asked me all these questions?" she said softly.

"Yeah, I believe that should be all I want to know about compulsion," I said calmly. "The main reason for asking these questions is actually because Elizabeth knows who I’m now, she remembers why I had to compel her, and she’s really mad at me," I revealed.

"Oh my God, how did that happen?" Lydia said.

"We aren’t dating anymore either. She broke up with me," I said.

"What are you planning on doing now?" she asked.

I knew something like this might happen after I compelled her the other day. I just had to move. At least I explained why I had done that to her, "I answered.

Right now, what I want to know is the girl who told her everything. I wonder what kind of supernatural she is and what she wants from me," I said softly.

"Have you heard of a girl named Fiona in our grade?" I asked.

"Nope, I haven’t, and how is she related to what happened?" she said. "And was this the reason for that look out there?" she added.

"She was the one who helped Elizabeth," I replied, without giving a reply to the other question she asked. I knew she was going to say something like that after hearing what happened.

"She should be a witch. Nicholas and Alaric are the only true blood-born vampires alive right now," she said.

"Yeah, it’s true, I think I know what I have to do even though it’s going to be a bit stressful," I said.
