Chapter 61

"What is it that you want to know about that?" "Are you going to help me exact my revenge on him?" he asked, a devilish grin on his face. "If the reason is worth exacting vengeance for," I replied.

"Did you know why I was a dagger five hundred years ago?" he inquired, not waiting for my response. "Robert and my brother Alaric devised a scheme to dagger me and my remaining brothers," he explained.

He arrived quickly thanks to his superhuman abilities. "And now that I'm back, I'm going to kill Robert and make Alaric pay for what he did five hundred years ago," he raged.

He truly desires vengeance on his brother and Robert. Raphael, I assumed, was aware of this, which is why he brought him back to life to use as a weapon against Robert.

"Are you aware that Robert is the king of the hills city (Bowhill City)?" "Yes, Raphael told me before he vanished," I told him. "I guess Richard was killed after he discovered he was still alive."

"All right, Lydia, let's get him out," I said. I was nervous about releasing him from the prison, but I needed to keep him by my side against the impending darkness on Earth.

I'd need a mentor to teach me how to use my abilities, become more skilled, and grow stronger. I'm not sure if he'll do it. Lydia took a step forward. She was on the verge of casting the spell.

"Wait, Lydia," I interrupted, and she came to a halt. "I'm going to collect a fee after I release you," I explained. "All right, you have word," he said. "All right, nice," I said. "Lydia, keep casting the spell," I said.

Lydia closed her eyes and stretched her arms out wide. "Portam aperire vi,” she said repeating the words.

Nothing seemed to had happened to us because everything seem the same, but I suppose she'd be the one to find out if it worked. With the incantation, she finally came to a halt. It was time to see if the spell had been successful. Nicholas took his time making his way to the gate's entrance.

He took a breather before pushing the door open. It gradually opened backwards. He extended his right leg to test the spell's effectiveness. I was hanging on the wall the next thing I knew, Nicholas's hand clutching my neck. My legs were raised off the ground.

I groan in agony, while I was attempting to free myself. "Leave him alone!" yelled Ellie. She morphed into a wolf and dashed up to him, kicking him away.

Lydia rushed up to me and inquired, "Are you all right?" I was thrown to the ground, clutching my neck and I was struggling to breathe.

I could finally breathe normally. I rose to my feet once more. Nicholas was at the opposite end of the room. I was furious with him. I wished I could fight him back. I was about to undergo a transformation.
