Chapter 124

"OK, that's enough, concentrate on what we're here for," he said, slightly yelling at me, as if he doesn't want the person or thing he's peeping at to notice he's hiding in the woods. 

"I don't even know why we're here, and you're yelling at me to concentrate," I yelled at him, I don't know why he's not telling me anything, we've been walking through the woods for about an hour now, I should have stayed over at Miss Lisa's house with Lydia. 

"Keep your voice down," he said quietly. 

"OK, I'll keep my voice down," I said quietly. 

"I just told you I found Daniel's house and that we were heading towards the area; you shouldn't be asking me what I was looking at through the woods," he responded softly. 

I moved much closer to Nicholas in order to see the house he was looking at; it turned out to be a large ancient mansion that would have been built ages ago; it had an old look, and it was obvious someone was living inside because a very old mansion can't be built in the middle of the woods and won't be covered up with branches from trees, and it will also look really unkempt. 

If not for the structural look of the mansion and most of the house design, it was easy to tell it was built a long time ago. 

"Have you ever been here before?" I inquired. 

"No, I've never been here before, but until today," he replied, rising to his feet. 

"What do you plan to do now?" I asked as I stood up after him. 

"Heading back to the city," he said, turning around. 

"Like for real, we've spent about an hour or more in these woods, was that just to come and peep into an old mansion all day?" I inquired.

I also turned around, but he didn't stop walking away, and he didn't respond to what I said; instead, he turned his deaf ears at me. I was furious, but I had no choice but to return to the city since he wasn't attacking him to confront him if he was Alaric. I'll be back for him at night, when the full moon is out, and I'll force him to tell me everything he knows about Alaric, or, if possible, take me to where Alaric might be hiding.

I was in my room, I laid down on my bed, feeling really exhausted after the stress I went through with Nicholas, I had no shirt and short on, I was only wearing a boxers, I just came out of the bathroom, but lazy to get dressed up, while I was lazy to get up to dress up, I had a lot of thoughts running through my mind. 

My daddy was a hybrid, half lycan and half vampire, while my mummy was just a human, wow, I wonder how they were able to have a relationship together, after she found out who and what kind of person my daddy was.
