A blast from the past- Loneliness.

Q looked down at the puddle in front of him, he saw his lonely reflection staring back at him. It's only been a week since he met that girl. He remembered her sweet voice and kind words.

Q brought his attention back to where he was. He was alone in a dark alleyway, with no one to speak to. Q sighed quietly until he heard a voice, a high-pitched voice, it was definitely feminine. He peeked from the corner, to see..the girl, the very girl he met and was just thinking about moments prior, speaking on the phone with someone. Q froze nervously, and quickly hid behind the wall. Q didn't know why he was hiding, but he was too nervous to reveal himself in such an awkward manner.

Q wanted to think of a way to keep an eye on the girl, but not reveal himself just yet. Q thought long and hard for a moment, and had an idea...he would follow the girl around wherever she went, and would remain hidden in the shadows so as to not scare her and risk rejection.

For many weeks, Q did just that. Keeping his eye on the young girl and watching her every move. As Q did so, he found out more about this young girl, but the one thing he didn't get was her name, he hoped that would change soon..little did he know, it would.

He wrote a poem whilst watching her, hoping someday to show it to her and tell her how much he loved her.

"I watch from afar, hidden in the shadows, As you move gracefully through life's highs and lows. I long to be near you, but fear I'm not enough for someone like you, My low self-esteem is a weight that's tough. You shine like a star, so bright and so true, A beauty that only the lucky few Get to witness so closely, and feel your warm embrace. Yet I'm too scared to approach your space. I wish I had more confidence, strength, and charm, To sweep you off your feet, and keep you from harm. But alas, I am just a man...an abomination with flaws, Hoping someday you'll see me without pause. Till then, I'll continue to admire from afar, Basking in the glow of your light like a star. Maybe one day I'll find my inner courage...to tell you...how I truly feel."
