Holding A Wedding
Mikhail did as Belle told.
He went to their room and showered then changed his clothes before he went back to the lounge where his parents continued to shower with Belle with questions.
Yasmin is truly fond of Belle.
She did not feel that the woman had any ulterior motive in marrying her son. A lot of women wanted to get to her son's good side but then Mikhail remained indifferent.
He did not show any interest towards the opposite sex. So, when Mikhail was sent to France to complete his study, they thought that the man will encounter his other half there but their hopes were drowned. Mikhail went home some time and brought Lyndon over.
Yasmin thought that her son preferred male over female.
But then, who is she to stop him of what he wants? She's just hoping that their relationship will persevere and stand against the prejudice of the world.
She talked to Lyndon about it and it made Mikhail burn in anger and left home with thinking of not coming back again.
Mikhail was so embarassed by his mother's behavior that time and he vowed not to bring his friends over at home especially when his mother is around.
Yasmin wanted to know their progress so that she know when to expect her first grandchild.
"So... have you kissed?" Yasmin continued to pry on like a little girl.
Belle just nodded embarrassingly. She could not comprehend why Mikhail's mother wanted to know that kind of stuff.
Amir on the other hand turned deaf on the side but from time to time, he checked his wife if she's asking things that are not supposed to ask.
Mikhail wanted to join them but when he saw the expression in Belle's face, he could not expose himself so, he just stood at the corner to hide and listen, at first. He wanted to see Belle's different reaction and he thought of how adorable she's getting as the questions of his own mother varied.
"Then... after that did you....?" Yasmin wanted to ask some question but then Mikhail stopped her.
"We are working on that... so don't worry..." his answer made Belle feel more embarassed as she wanted to dig a hole and burry herself in it. His answer made her feel worse but not to Yasmin which glowed in happiness upon hearing her son's answer. He walked gracefully towards them and sat beside Belle. He draped his hands around her waist like he used to.
Belle almost jumped up from the sofa when she felt his strong arms snaking on her waist. She smiled awkwardly to Yasmin.
Yasmin stared at the two young people with adoration in her eyes. They used to be that sweet with Amir during in their younger years but now, the man turned cold to her and did not even wanted to sleep on the same bed as her. This made her feel hurt.
"Geez... Go get a room!" Yasmin exclaimed. She felt envy with their actions.
Amir on the other hand notice the envious gaze of his wife towards their own son's action. He knew that he had not been properly doing his duties for some time now because he knew that he might hurt his wife during the process and he's quite old already. She on the other hand remained her youthful appearance and stayed beautiful.
Not dwelling on the matter too much, he turned his head to his son and spoke, "So when are you gonna hold a wedding?"
He knew that this younger generation did not value the wedding like them but they could not let it be and let Belle suffer any grievances.
Mikhail looked at Belle with a questioning gaze before he looked up to his father.
"We just have to settle some things before we hold one..." he sounded so indulgent and warm towards her.
"That's right. It doesn't matter when as long as you can have many children and live happily." Yasmin clasped her hands as she said it merrily.
"It's better not to prolong it..." Amir stood his ground and Mikhail knew this.
"Yes father..."
Belle just went silent and sipped tea without any sound.
Wedding?
How could that be? They had agreed that they will only pretend and not hold any ceremony and for the papers, she knew that the man had his own resources to provide it.
Oblivious that Mikhail deliberately wanted her to be by his side forever. He rescued her in China and brought her here and provided all her needs and gave her a warm home to return to.
He had paid greatly just to make Belle free from the charges filed for her in China and even got Ren Tao out of prison.
He did all of this because he wanted Belle to be truly his and he did not mind how much he has to pay just to get her.
Even for the expense of his own life, he did not mind as long as he had seen her happy and worry free.
His soul has long been bargained to the devil and even became the devil himself just to be with her, he did not mind it all.
His love for her stood no bounds and whoever stood in their way will find their ways to hell.
