Shikera nodded, remembering that Grandma Cooper had thought Mignon was bored from staying at home with an old lady, and that was why she always came home late.
"Alright, enough of talking about me. Let's talk about you, how's baby doing?" Mignon took a deep breath in and asked.
Shikera froze, having not expected the question. Slowly, her eyes moved down to her belly and she exhaled. How could she tell how the baby was doing in her belly when she was this disorganized?
"You know what, Mi—Leah, I have to visit an hospital. I...I don't think I'm pregnant even if those kits are proving that I am. Is there any hospital on the island that can be trusted?" she asked.
