Goals Achieved!

"That's good, now let's see if he is really worthy of that trait or not." The aged examiner nodded his head as he seemed to acknowledge Chrome's choice of entering the chamber early, since he himself also wanted to see what might come out of this young man.

After all, even though he did have the 'Hyper Productivity' trait, it wasn't sufficiently high ranked for it to make a change if he only had a crappy awakened ability, so the main point still laid in the last test.

"Eh? He really awakened an ability…?" Krig was indeed a bit surprised as he could see a small ball of electricity rise above Chrome's index finger through the transparent glass.

'So he wasn't just bluffing,' Fred thought as he shrugged, he still wasn't brought to the point of being surprised by this as he could see how small the electric ball was, before he affirmed, 'I guess he won't even pass the test, that's for the better.'

"Oh, an Energy Manifestation ability? That's quite suitable for his special trait, the volume is a little lacking though." the aged examiner continued adding commentary notes, which he didn't even bother doing when Fred was taking the test, before adding, "Is he not fully using his-" and abruptly stopping…

The reason behind his pause was that he had already received an answer to his question before he even managed to complete it as he could already see the size of the electric ball increasing! It didn't only double in size once, it did twice!

"It's an ability of electric properties as well, that's not bad…" the aged examiner threw another comment, stating it as if it was a new thing to see, ignoring the fact that the ability's name was already revealed on the black screen.

While the crackling sound of electric discharge couldn't be heard due to the glass's sound-isolating properties, with the electric ball's current size, it wasn't hard to distinguish its nature.

Zzzzzappp!

As the visual effects of the impact caused by the ball of lightning crashing into the chamber's glass wall could be seen by all the observers out of the chamber, the complete result was fully displayed at both sides of the screen.

[ Ability Name: Generate Electricity

Ability Type: Energy Manifestation

Exos Units expended: 1(Min)-10(Max)

Offensive Grading: 97~99 ]

[ Calculating overall grading… ]

[ (=) Pass++ ]

"That's good then, as long as his personality is good enough then your trait shall not go to waste," the aged examiner muttered with a small smile before going back to sit once more as if he was never interested in what was going on…

'...How is it possible for this piece of crap to actually awaken such an ability?!' Fred's calm thought process was instantly sent to the shredder once he saw Chrome's overall result, almost reaching the point of fuming as he realized that Chrome's grade was actually higher than his!

The scene almost returned to the point of Bryce's last test's reveal as silence prevailed once more, most of the observers' faces were frozen in shock again with Jack being the one to receive the biggest shock, he had joked earlier mostly for fun, but it actually backfired on him… The one with the lowest result in Future High's group had already obtained a result higher than one of their leading students!

'As expected!'

The only two calm, smiley faces were Link and Alice's as they both acted as if it was nothing, like they had their own assurance that Chrome would pass without problems.

While the grading values were still mostly vague, most of those who had heard the examiner's mutter could tell that Chrome had already passed the threshold needed for him to pass the whole examination!

On the other hand…

'It's also of similar value…?' Chrome, who was still inside the chamber, wondered as he took a look at his final result.

Other than the overall grade that he was unsure of its value, his main focus was the offensive grading which showed a very close number to the one he was expecting according to the Self-Reliance Palace's calculations…

Considering that the testing chamber wasn't that accurate to begin with, the only way for the values to be this close meant that the standard unit for both the 'Attack Value' and the 'Offensive Grading' should be equal… Which was what puzzled Chrome.

'If it isn't just a big coincidence… then there is one more mystery to this strange ability of mine awaiting for an answer…' Chrome thought as he left the chamber, he was obviously not going to stay inside of it to think about the answer in the middle of the examination…

"You did well," Link lightly said to Chrome as soon as he came out as he gave him a quick thumbs up.

'Good,' Chrome nodded deep inside after he returned to his position and scanned the expressions of the other students along with his teacher's light praise, he had been mostly focused on his own test as well as his own thoughts when he was inside the chamber since he couldn't hear anything from the outside, but he could confirm that he had indeed achieved his goal during this test!

Not only did he crush the other students' earlier impressions of him, but he established an even stronger impact, but most importantly, he also got a sufficient grade that would allow him to enroll without any problems.

"Since no one seems to be interested in getting inside next, you go then."

The one to break the ice this time was Crow, who patted one of his students' shoulders, telling them to test their own abilities.

Jack's reaction to this was… none, he already decided to stop playing around by now, after all, he couldn't take any more hits to his self-esteem, what if he threw another tasteless comment only to see another prodigy rising from Crow's group of students, would he really have the dignity to lead his students by then?!

- Here's a... chapter for today, Hope you enjoy it!

- I'm once again very sorry for my stupid schedule, not releasing one chap in ten days is indeed too much, but i had been mostly busy for the last week due to some compulsory classes which had caused this... Anyway, I know this chapter isn't very long neither does it show much progress in the events, but I needed to write it to get back to releasing more of this novel, so please bear with it, I will try to release more like every two days, maybe? (Mostly whenever I'm able to)

- On another note, what do you think of the new cover? hope you also like it! shout out to Yueyi for helping me on this part & Cheers!
