Even though Carl returned, the imperial palace remained quiet.

It took a whopping four times longer than Nero, who had returned from the subjugation mission in just a week in the original.

Since Carl's records were all that were available, the only person to compare was Carl. But even if it took almost a month just to complete the mission, it was too late.

And this was natural for everyone. No one expected it. Even Nero and Lilly didn't think Carl would do well. One person, and only one person, had high hopes for Carl and was disappointed.

Azgoth did not show his face once, even though his son Carl, who had gone on a campaign under his orders, returned.

Funnily enough, the only person in this huge imperial palace who had high hopes for Carl was Emperor Azgoth.

And Azgoth was very disappointed that Carl was only struggling with subjugating gnolls and decided that it was not worth investing more in him.
