Ancestor of The Supreme Sword Sect

In a certain area in the vast Grand Planet Gladius, three suns could be seen glaring down the field. It lit up the rectangular stage that is larger than two football fields. The white tiles of the stage reflected the brilliance of the three suns.

"Boom!" The sound of Sword Arcanes clashing together resounded through the entire arena. Two warriors were engaged in a heated battle.

"Accept defeat!" The man said while leaning on his sword. He was dripping with sweat while the air blew on his long golden hair. He is vibrating a little, signifying his exhaustion; however, his piercing golden eyes are still full of fight.

"To you? Not even in your dreams!" Rebutted the lady he was fighting with. She stood up in poise despite her visible exhaustion. Her beautiful silky long green hair was being blown to her face by the wind, but it did not hide her gentle green eyes that were screaming battle. She gripped her long and straight, double-edged sword and pointed it at the man using both her hands.

The man replied by getting into a stance while also pointing his katana at the lady.

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" The excited shouts of the crowd echoed through the arena. Countless swordsmen and swordswomen chanted their support for the two contenders.

"Haa!" The two contenders shouted; however, just as they were about to clash again, a man that looked in his 40s halted the two of them. His long black hair being blown by the strong winds and his imposing black eyes carried a sense of invincibility.

"Ancestor!" All with no exception got up, then kneeled with one knee to the ground to pay respect to the man who interfered in the battle. They did not dare look up to the mightiest man of their sect, the founding ancestor.

"I have seen the two of you fight. I hereby declare that the two of you won the Grand Swords Cup!" The ancestor spoke with a deep voice.

Cheers from the crown resounded through the arena. This was the most prestigious competition in the entirety of The Supreme Sword Sect, with the ancestor watching it himself. Only the most talented swordmaster prodigies from all the planets, The Supreme Sword Sect, have their influence and can attend this prestigious event that is only held once every 25 years. For the first time, the ancestor said that he would be handing over the rewards himself to the one or, in this case, the two winners of the tournament, causing this quarter-century cup to be extremely anticipated.

"What are your names?" The ancestor asked.

"Kevin, ancestor."

"Eleanor, ancestor."

"Kevin & Eleanor, you are both crowned as the 336th Grand Swords Cup winners! Congratulations!" The ancestor announced.

Cheers from the crowd flew in once more.

"Thank you, ancestor," both of the winners said simultaneously.

"Follow me for your rewards."

The crowd swiftly dissipated after the ancestor and the two 27-year-old prodigies vanished out of thin air. They all left in wonder just what kind of reward those young ones would get.

"Dress them up!" The ancestor commanded. Then, two maids appeared from nowhere and essentially kidnapped both winners. They were gone before either of them could scream.

"Hey!" Kevin shouted.

"Please calm down; we are just obeying the orders of the ancestor," the maid who grabbed him calmly said. Beside her now are two more maids holding scissors and a black suit.

After a while, the two came to a vast green field to meet their ancestor. Kevin was wearing a classic black suit, while Eleanor wore a fancy yet elegant lavender-colored dress.

"Great!" The ancestor said. He is also wearing a black suit; however, Kevin had a red handkerchief in the pocket of his, while the ancestor had a blue one. "On this trip, you must address me as Felgrand."

"We understand, ancestor," the two politely replied with a bow.

"It seems like you don't," said Felgrand.

"F-Felgrand," they struggled to utter. They were both blushing a little from embarrassment. In this world, calling one by their name is essentially saying that they are on the same level.

"Good. Today, I will open your eyes. As the prodigies of our sect, you must know the level of power in the vast universe. This is a very rare chance I only got out of luck; you must cherish it well," reminded Felgrand.

"Yes, ancestor!"

Just then, a magnificent blue and white feathered 8-winged Phoenix Eagle descended behind Felgrand. "Let us go."

The two were stunned and were unable to move for a moment due to the sight.

'Damn! How often would you see a Phoenix Eagle, and not just any Phoenix Eagle, but an 8-winged one at that!' exclaimed Kevin in his thoughts.

'Such a beautiful beast. I wonder if I can get something like this in the future?' Eleanor wondered.

After climbing on top of the 8-winged Phoenix Eagle, the three of them traveled the vast sky until they reached a desolate area. It was a boundless desert with no signs of life in sight.

"Where are we, Felgrand?" inquired Kevin.

"The door to arguably the safest yet the most dangerous location in the universe," Felgrand answered mysteriously.

"Look!" Eleanor pointed to the heart of the desert. A tiny cabin made of wood stood there, resisting the violent sandstorms.

"There it is," Felgrand said while revealing a bright smile on his face.

The group went inside and saw a dusty old man that looked dead. His bones can almost be seen through his skin due to his thinness. The group walked on the dusty floor and came face to face with the old man whose eyes were closed while his chin rested on his palm.

The two young ones were bewildered by sight. They could not comprehend who this person was. He looked weak.

"E--" Felgrand was just about to speak when another group entered the cabin.

There were four of them this time. A female lead, a single lady in a white dress, and two men in black suits.

"Oh, it is nice meeting you here, Felgrand," the leader of the group said. She has delicate skin and soft and charming blue eyes that paired nicely with her long sky-blue hair.

"It is indeed an unexpected pleasure, Chloe," Felgrand politely responded.

"The hell is with this place!?" an irritated young man said as he stomped his foot. His short blue hair bounced due to his stomp, while his azure eyes tightened due to his irritation.

"Shut up, Andrew," reprimanded Chloe.

"Why, mistress? Are we supposed to be courteous with these sword bastards?" Andrew said with condescension.

"What the hell is wrong with you, people?" The sleeping old man straightened his head and said. His eyes are still closed, but they get the feeling that he can see them.

"W-" Felgrand was just about to speak but was interrupted by Andrew.

"So what? Who are you to interrupt me? Don't you know that-!" Andrew could not even finish his sentence when he was stopped by fear right after the old man opened his eyes.
