Chapter 23: War Of The Havens VI

Valmus found himself in another Vault, surprisingly the Dials were connected to each other.

This made Valmus excited and intrigued by the thought that if he had chosen to pursue more treasure he would have lost sight of a convinently easier way to go through and from other locations.

He continued his looting spree for a total of twelve times, that's without including his first heist.

'I've visited all their Vaults .' He smiled as he finally stepped on the Dials once more, now that his immediate goals were completed he was wholeheartedly concentrate on the system objective.

'I've taken less than two hours, hopefully not everything is dead.' He hoped as he felt himself being sent away.

...

On the Great battlefield, the war was still raging. All the Parties present had a monumental amount of stamina and essence and therefore would tire so easily.

They were locked in battle so fiercely that they failed to notice a small white light that blinked in and out of existence before revealing a warrior in black, heavily on guard.

Valmus sighed as he finally joined the clash, he didn't know which side of the battlefield he was on but chose to aid in whatever way he could.

He soon found a beast wounded by the heavy barrage of attacks and a God on his last legs.

Taking advantage of the situation Valmus used his improvised teleportation via Kaisers blood which was more potent and less taxing than his own.

He silently appeared on top of its forehead, before the could even react he plunged his sword through it's skull while coates with his aura.

The sword hummed to life as it devoured the Gods blood and essence ever before it fell and even as it did fall the sword never stopped devouring until all that remained from the God was a pile of ashes.

Valmus feeling the intent Of the weapon smiled at it as he whispered "You shall feast to your heart's desire, to that you have my word."

He then stored away the ashes of the God not caring enough to give their remains respect.

Valmus stored away and corpse he found be it God or Beast, he was even able to cross paths with the corpses if abominations but chose to steer clear of them. Something about the dwellers of the abyss repulsed him to his very core and this wasn't him just making a fit due to their ghastly appearances.

He joined other battles and aided where he could, delivered the finishing blows where he could and overall tried to be the best supporter a human could be when caught between a battle of Gods and Beasts.

Soon enough he was able to see the familiar faces of the Black dragon and The Chimera from a distance. He could also feel Kaisers presence hiding in the darkness as if he were waiting for something Or someone to appear.

Valmus knew far too well about Kaisers plans, after all he had been the man for nearly his whole life. It was a pity Valmus' will power was too strong otherwise he would have been able to reach a not so distant present.

Valmus continued doing what he was doing while having half his mind focus on the Chimera, the Dragon and Kaiser's presence.

His kill count of Gods had already reached ten, after all he wasn't stipid enough to challenge a fully well and able God, he picked on the fringes already injured by the Beasts and swiftly ended their lives.

He was now only purely waiting to save M''oieri and survive the war, both the requirements were chilling.

For him to have the need to save the Chimera then something truly daunting would need to happen. This was because even with his current Demi-God Constitution Valmus could still feel a not so subtle threat from the Chimera.

Despite being able to freely move beneath it's pressure there was still a lurking danger the Chimera had yet to show.

As for the dragon, Valmus owed him this much after all the help he obtained after all knowledge was also a form of power the black dragon had no issue sharing.

The final objective was also worrying, Surviving a war of this scale was terrifying when the heavy lifters begin throwing moves that surpassed the bar Valmus could keep up with.

He knew himself well enough to know that he wasn't strong enough to take on the true powers houses. He could at most bully the weak and injured Gods anything above that would be a death sentence.

Just as the war was climaxing a certain God made a move, he was a war God that many beast failed to subdue.

He marched forward no linger targeting the weak but finally preying against the strong.

Once he made his move so did the chimera who met the God with vigor, they exchanged hundreds of blows that seemed to shadow each other into mirages.

The two behemoths continued their duel as they mived from one point to another, into the air and back to the ground.

Valmus watched keenly, waiting to see anything amiss so that be could make a move but it never came.

The foght was too high level for his caliber and just as he thought things couldn't get worse they did as anither divine presence descended obly this one was met by Kaiser who finally made a move.

The Black dragon was also caught up in his own Spartan clash as he couldn't even dare to look away kest he forfeits his life.

Just as Valmus was eagerly spectating, something crashed into his bavk sending him reeling forward.

He frowned deeply, his concentration was at it's peak for someone or something to pass his radar and hit him then they were either masters of stealth or more powerful than him.

"So your the Player who's been making this zone all the more difficult, it's about time someone puts you in your place." A man calmly threatened as he brandished his spear, he stood to his full height and was a head short of Valmus. This clearly didn't sit well with him as he clicked his tongue in annoyance as he expanded his body to match his size.

"I'm Son Goku, Wether you know me or not I shall cut you down." He declared.

'Ahh no wonder, such bad luck to meet the little brother of the Leviathan Guild here.' Valmus complained inwardly as he cleaned the dust of his clothes. 'Should I kill him? That would lead to issues between me and his brother but... Do i even care abou that? No I don't, right now this kid is nothing more than a nuisance that'll distract me from completing my quest objectives.' He filtered out inwardly as he fell into a stand.

He had never used any of his sword arts within the Bubbles purely because he hadn't stabilized his aura. Now however it was different as his aura was as stable and refined as it could be and his weapon was eager to draw blood.

His entire presence shifted and the effect if him being serious could be felt within a fifty meter radius.

All within the radar of his influence could without a doubt feel the looming presence of death.

Valmus made the first move vanishing from where he stood, Son Goku reacted just on time to meet the sword that threatened to cleave him in half.

Valmus kicked to his side only for his leg to be blocked by Son Goku's knee. He backed up before lunging forward he slashed countless of times relentless to the point where Son Goku's spear glowed in bright red.

He accelerated once more only this time he was no longer stationary, he attacked from various angle and position persistently overwhelming Son Goku in skill and might.

He picked up pace now including Aura attacks to the physical attack, layering them with his spatial movements.

Son Goku was overwhelmed to say the least, he could only passively react and not attack in yhe slightest. He couldn't make use of his attributes as a half giant and was mearly a sitting duck in Valmus' onslaught.

"Well this is boring, next time pick on someone your own size." Valmus' voice drifted into his ears as at one point he had stopped attacking and stood motionless, something Son Goku only noticed after Valmus spoke to him.

[One Sword To Cut The Heavens: Tryfing.]

The world lost color as a clear line cut the grey world in two, within a range of a hundred meters anything within the radius got spilt in half, be it the mind, body or soul all was cut.

Son Goku didn't know how he died but he could tell that he did after all his upper body fell to the ground while his feet were standing.
