Questioning The Being

"Three hours completed!"

The man heard the domineering voice, one he was getting used to, but he didn't flinch.

His eyes were closed and his body was in a meditating position as he sat on the ground with crossed legs and with both hands placed on his laps.

Apparently, he had decided to follow up with the threat-like statement the being had given him the last time and thanks to the mind control exercises his original body used to take, he was able to get a grip of the intense concentration. As for the energy meant to be directed at him, he couldn't say for certain if it was happening...

"Three hours already? You mean I've spent a whole day just meditating?" He asked surprisingly as he opened his eyes to stare at the being named Rasmus who chose to stand at the usual spot.

"Yes," the being replied. "And it seems to me you are making progress."

"But I haven't been feeling any type of energy surging through my body," He said while standing up.

"Your soul you mean," The being corrected.

'Whatever!'

"You might not be able to feel any sort of energy go through you but I can see changes."

"Changes? Like what?" He questioned.

"A flowing energy. It is not something meant for the naked eye to see,"

He stared at the being intensely as he thought of what to say to it. But what was the point of thinking when the being might definitely be able read his mind contents...?

"When are you going to give out relevant information about this whole situation?"

"Do you want to know more about all of these?"

The two questions came at the same time, one from the man and the latter from the being. Two questions travelling down the same path and leading to the same direction.

"Yes, I do." The man said out of eagerness, replying the being since it was actually thinking what he was thinking.

"Very well then. Ask anything bothering you but I can not promise to reply every of them..."

"Why?"

"You are not ready to get the answers to all the questions yet."

He nodded his head in understanding. If he could only get little info from the being, then he didn't mind. It was worth it.

"You mentioned something about this place being the balance between my world. What balance were you talking about?"

"Life and death..." the being replied.

"I don't think I understand,"

"It is simple. This balance division means the individual involved is neither dead nor alive. Take yourself as an example. Your original body can not be termed as dead and neither is it alive."

It was something he knew already but didn't link it up with this place. Life... Death... Right now, he was in between the two phases.

"Okay. What about this ascension thing... why does my soul has to spend a total of twenty days here? Or should I say twenty hours?"

"This is because you missed the initial twenty hours during the ascension and only managed to complete twenty-nine. In order to get you through with the initial twenty hours, your soul had to be summoned to do that."

Little by little, everything was starting to make sense to the man. The explanation made by the being was enlightening enough but he still had many questions, many worries.

"Does every other person who ends up in a coma also go through an ascension? Like meet up with you or some other type of being for it?" He asked.

"No," the being said. "Yours has a different purpose. As for theirs, there is nothing attached,"

"What purpose does mine have?" He arched his brows as he waited for an answer.

"Keep the question for another time. It is something I can not answer yet." The being told him.

He raised a hand to touch his head as he thought of what other question to ask. Truthfully, there were many questions in his mind but he had to be specific about which to choose. Rasmus had mentioned that it could only answer some of the questions for now which means he has to choose one that doesn't have a deeper understanding to it.

"If truly I have a previous life, because you mentioned I'm ascending to a new one, then why can't I recollect any scenes from it? I mean, the previous one?" He asked the question he thought could be less detailed.

"I will only tell you this. For now, you are undergoing the life reforming stage of your ascension. Once you are done with it, you will begin the spiritual enhancement stage. That way, you will tap in to the memories of your previous life," The being explained.

"Can you read minds?" He suddenly questioned the being. If there was a possibility to see the being's expression, he knew it would look at him like he was crazy. Was the question actually relevant?

"Why do you ask such?"

"Well, the first time I came in contact with you, you literally answered my unasked question like you could see through me. So, shouldn't I sum it up that you can read minds?"

"What exactly are you driving at?" The being had to ask.

"Since you can actually read minds, then instead of allowing me to ask random questions, why don't you just pick up the questions that can be answered right now from my mind. At least to save me the stress,"

"I can actually read minds as you said. But, the first time we spoke, I didn't read your mind. I only answered your unasked question due to your uneasiness which made me detect you wanted to ask such question related to that..."

"Oh..."

"And as for reading your mind now, I can not do that."

He stared at the being questioningly. What does it mean by it can't do that? "Why can't you?" he inquired.

"Remember, I am your guide and you are my host. So the only way I can read through your mind is by your permission. I am not entitled to do that on my freewill,"

"But you are entitled to speak in my head freely, right?" He nonchalantly stated.

"That is a different thing entirely. It doesn't go through the entitlement process,"

"Well, can I give you permission to not speak in my head until I ask you to?"

"As you wish."

He let out a sigh of relief. He had to make that move because he didn't want any resounding voice in his head again due to the aftermath which results to a sort of migraine. But, he has one request though...

"Read through my mind then," he told the being.

"Okay. But be careful what you let in there,"

As those words left the being, he could feel something in his head. Like a barrier was being opened and something was given access to it. His mind then suddenly felt free which meant the being now had access to his mind.

"So, which question do you want me to answer first. About what I truly am or if I have the intention of killing you?" The being questioned.

He felt a bit nervous as he replied, "Why not answer the second before the first,"

"If I truly have the intention of killing you, maybe you would have never come across me in the first place. And as for who I truly am, I am actually a celestial being from the heavenlies."

"The heavenlies? So are you—" He got interrupted before he could complete his statement.

"An angel? No. But do not ask any further as you are not bound for that now."

"I see," He nodded his head. "Then what next am I going to do?"

"You still need to use an hour more to finish up the life reforming stage. So, I will suggest you continue with the concentration as I will be leaving soon," The being told him.

"Before you leave, I don't want you to have any access to my mind again. Can you do that as well?"

"Okay,"

And like before, when the being gained access to his mind, he felt something in his head. But this time, it felt like a barrier was closing and so it was.

"I will be leaving now. But before I go, I will leave you with this..."

The being's right hand was suddenly aimed at the man with the covered palm in view. A dark substance-like air began emitting from its hand and was heading for the man's direction in full force.

He became scared, frightened to the core. Didn't the being say it wasn't going to kill him? Now, it was going against it's words. His instincts frightfully screamed for him to jump out of the way but he couldn't budge as his body(soul) stayed glued to the spot.

Closing his eyes, he waited for death to come. And that was when the power that emitted from the being's hand surged through his body. Instead of a sharp pain, he felt a consciousness draining power which resulted in him collapsing to the ground.

Before he finally lost all form of consciousness, he heard the being say:

"I will be back for you."

Remember, in that realm, one hour equals to one day...
