The end of the world cured my depression

I'd read hundreds of fantasy novels, and nothing could have prepared me for what would happen next. Hell I didn't even fully remember selecting this class that pretty much guaranteed my death. I mean what kind of lunatic would choose one of the classes that had the lowest chance of survival in the early parts of this whole mess? I just picked it out of tired curiosity since I'd always wanted a pet dragon even now as an adult. How the hell was I going to survive if my current chance of survival was 1%? Sure I was highly compatible with my class, but that didn't mean shit when my reward for that was having to kill 5000 monsters to prove I was worthy of hatching this dragon egg.

I slowly released the pressure I had on my bow string, and debated on just leaving them so I could go get some more kills without them getting in the way.

"Hey," I shouted.

Their guns shot up, and pointed my direction.

"Guns aren't exactly the best weapons in a situation like this," I stepped out where they could see me only for their gazes to harden, "Haven't you seen any movies? Zombies are attracted to noise."

The sarcastic response seemed to make their gazes harden even more.

"We wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you," One of the soldiers shouted refusing to lower his weapon.

"You're the idiots that made to much noise," I frowned, "I haven't seen more then five zombies at once since I got in here. If you guys hadn't done so much shooting then you wouldn't have had to deal with such a large group either."

"If you hadn't jumped into the dungeon then we wouldn't have been sent to get you," he shouted.

"Keep making noise, and we'll have another group that big on us in no time," I knocked my bow, and started scanning our surroundings, "We can't leave remember? Another group like that when you're already out of ammo would be the end of us."

I scanned our surroundings thoroughly as I reached down to start breaking down the zombies. Leaving behind the rotten flesh, and focusing on the bone chips, and other things. Occasionally the zombies would give me bits of fabric when broken down. I activated my Basic crafting skill, and options popped up for the things I could make.

Basic crafting options calculated based on current materials

Poor mace - poor mace constructed of bone

Poor bow - poor bow constructed from bone, and fabric scraps

Poor arrows - poor arrows constructed from bone

Poor scent masking - a mix of zombie blood, and a small core. Masks your scent so zombies have a hard time tracking you.

Poor bone knife - small bone knife

Poor bone dagger - short dagger made of bone

I made a spare bow, and a few arrows for me. Then a few daggers, and maces for the others. Finally I made the scent masking material. Creating a vial for each of us. I kept collecting materials from the dead zombies.

It was odd that the bone chips, blood, and other stuff were bagged or in vials. I didn't question it though.

"Here are some quiet weapons," I handed each of them a weapon somewhat randomly, "And these vials will stop the zombies from noticing us."

I was glad they'd relaxed when I kept picking through the zombie corpses without paying them much mind.

"Where'd you pull these from?" The badly wounded guy was the first to ask.

"I have a basic crafting skill," I answered.

Making sure to give him a vial of the scent masking stuff.

"If we don't hurry up then you're going to die," I straightened slowly, "I can make you some new weapons if you need them so don't hesitate to ask."

"You're acting as if we can just get out of here," the aggressive guy snapped at me.

"That's because I think we can," I raised my bow, aimed, and killed another zombie, "I think once all the zombies are dead we can leave this floor, and we'll be given the option to leave the dungeon or move on to the next floor. Save the scent masking for emergencies. We'll probably need it if we get caught up in another group." I knocked another arrow, and advanced toward the zombie I'd killed, "Keep quiet for now. We've probably gotten too much attention as it is."

A tense alliance formed between us after that. We all wanted to get out, and the guy with the munched leg wasn't doing good. The tourniquet they'd made using a belt was holding for now, but we needed to get him out of here. Now that we'd formed a group we were making more noise, and attracting more zombies. I focused on getting them at a distance with my bow while they finished off the ones that got close.

We only stopped for me to make more weapons or when a group that was too large would wander through. The vial full of the nasty liquid that masked our scent proved to be one of our greatest allies. The groups of zombies started to shrink as smaller groups would break off from the large ones, and eventually there weren't any large groups of zombies. The man with the munched leg was deathly pale at that point, and I wasn't sure he was still breathing. I felt a pang of guilt that this man had probably died from trying to save me, but at the same time I didn't think I needed saving.

I released my last good arrow, and killed the last of the zombies we could see.

Congratulations

You have completed this floor of the dungeon. This floor will collapse in 1 hour. If you have not exited this floor in 1 hour then you will be thrown into the dark space between dimensions. Your existence will cease from this world, and you will most likely die.

Please call out exit if you wish to leave the dungeon.

Please call out continue if you'd like to move on to the next floor.

We all seemed to simultaneously agree to exit the dungeon.

"Exit," We all spoke practically in unison.

The world warped, and we found ourselves on the ground outside of the dungeon gates. I folded to my knees as soon as we were clear of the dungeon. I was covered in sweat, and had a good amount of zombie blood on me, but my bag was full of stuff I could sell, and I was alive. That was what mattered. My phone dinged at me.

I realized I hadn't had a chance to look at it since I entered the dungeon. I pulled it out of my pocket, and realized something. It had only been about an hour out here. It had definitely been longer then an hour in the dungeon. Time dilation maybe?
