Burning Lava

Pharai

"Suetekh," I held out my hands as the temperature of the room grew too uncomfortable to be ignored. A sheen layer of sweat had already formed over my skin within seconds and my hair stuck to the back of my neck. I desperately wanted to abandon the tracksuit jacket but for that moment, it was the least of my concerns.

The god before me seemed to be growing taller second by second as his maroon burgundy hair started to glow like fire. His golden eyes had turned completely black and the whites had become non-existent within a blink of an eye. Yet his golden iris elongated to form that of a snake as a low growl left him.

I wanted to hit my own hand for slapping him. What had I been thinking? It was well known Suetekh beheaded anyone who disrespected him and by the looks of it, mate or no mate, I fell under that radar.
