Chapter 99 Help is on the way

Getting off the call with Aura. Amelia immediately got preparations for meetings with the other cities.

Also at the same time, Aura was also getting preparations ready to give Drake help.

"I need to get at least one High council Elf and his or her family moved today." Aura told the High council.

"Why is one of us and our family moving, Queen Aura?" A female High council Elf asked.

"I will not let thousands of years of work go down the drain because some merfolk would not accept being moved. I need at least one family down there to help my husband manage everything that will be pushed on him shortly." Aura replied angrily.

"Fine." The female High council Elf set down.

"Will one of you volunteer or do we need to draw sticks to see which one of you goes?" Aura was still angry.

"Draw sticks." A couple of High council Elves shouted.

"Does anyone else wish to volunteer an answer before drawing sticks?" Aura yelled.

No one said a word.

"Guard." Aura called.

"Yes your Majesty." The guard replied.

"Get the sticks for drawing. Whoever loses the draw has to pack their family up and move to this village." Aura pointed to it on a map. "If he or she has not left by lunchtime then they are immediately exiled from the high council seating and forced into the underground chambers." Aura finished.

Every high council member immediately wished that someone had volunteered.

Aura and the guard left.

"Do not worry Drake. Help is on the way." Aura whispered.

Meanwhile in the sea

A meeting had just started between Amelia and the other cities.

"My husband would like 300 merfolk to move to his village. I know this is sudden but the Ritocian Dukes are coming in. Queen Medusa has also been in contact with him." Amelia told them.

"Each city needs to send at least 40 mermaids/merman to your husband's village. What about lodging?" The Duke of city three asked.

"Drake is going to be making a copy of my Castle. Two hundred merfolk will be able to live in that Castle. Drake will also build houses using his Earth Magic." Amelia replied.

"Even though I am completely against it. If everyone else agrees to it. I will send 40 merfolk there." The Duke of city three said.

"Thank you." Amelia replied.

"What about the rest of you?" Amelia asked.

"If we all sent 40 merfolk. Would you be willing to send the last 60?" The Duke of city five asked.

"As long as everyone agrees to it. I will also need to know when each of your cities will be sending the merfolk so I can let Drake know." Amelia replied.

"We will send them all by tonight. Does everyone agree?" The Duke of city six asked.

"Agree." The Duke of city one replied.

"Agree." The Duke of city two replied.

"I shall wait to see what the rest reply." The Duke of city three replied.

"Sure." The Duke of city four replied.

"I cannot agree to send them tonight because of our festival coming up. I will however, agree to let them know that immediately after the festival is done. They will have to leave." The Duke of city five replied.

"How long would that be?" The Duke of city three asked.

"It starts in two days and lasts for four days. They would be able to leave in a week." The Duke of city five answered.

"Then I will also agree to have a week for my people as well." The Duke of city three replied.

"Alright then be off." Amelia told them.

Everyone got off and started preparing for the departure of the merfolk.

"Queen Amelia?" A guard called.

"Yes. What is wrong?" Amelia replied.

"I wish to be one of the ones that goes and helps your husband." The guard replied.

"Oh. That is something I never expected." Amelia was surprised.

"I know but there needs to be some guards that know your Castle inside and out. My brothers and I are the best ones for that job. We do not get much of an opportunity to do much of anything else. With us there we can also show people around the castle as an attraction. If your husband desires it." The guard replied.

"You truly think like him. I am glad to have someone like you being my guard." Amelia smiled.

"Thank you, your Majesty." The guard replied.

"Go and tell your brothers to pack their things. I will give you till the morning to leave." Amelia was happy.

"That damn jerk." Amelia said after the guard left.

"What is wrong?" Another guard asked.

"I need those three thrown in jail but I myself cannot do it. Hopefully my husband can." Amelia said.

The brother's pov

Getting Amelia's approval the brother was extremely excited.

"Hahahahahahaaaa" The brother laughed inwardly.

"You dumb bitch once we get there we can take the money and run." The brother thought.

He got to his brothers' room. The other two shared a room while he had one to himself.

"Alright boys. I got ourselves a way out into freedom." He announced.

"Did you have to yell fucking idiot?" The second brother raised his voice.

"I am just so happy though." He replied.

"Where are we going?" The third brother asked.

"Amelia's husband's home village." He declared.

"We are going to a poor village." The second brother was angry.

"Hold on now. Not everything has been said yet." He replied.

"It better be worth it or we will kill you." The third brother said.

"We will live in a copy of Amelia's Castle. Plus I told her with the three of us. That Castle can be used as an attraction spot." He finally finished.

"We get money from using the castle." The second brother said.

"We can be almost undiscovered." The third brother said.

"Why almost?" He asked.

"It depends how the money is exchanged." The third brother finished.

"We have to take this once in a lifetime opportunity though." He said.

"You are right." The second brother said.
