Chapter 22 The Battle Blooded Road

"If we want to make it to the road leading to Elven Community, we need at 45,000 speed. How many of you can do it?" Princess Tara was asking while sitting around a campfire with everyone.

"If you do not mind telling me. Why is speed going around the entire planet in a singular day?" Drake asked Tara.

"Simple, most places do not require anything to go to. Dungeons are a questionable because most of them already got destroyed or are worth training young ones in, like you Drake." Tara said with a smile.

"So the requirement for entering the Elven Community is 45,000 status correct or am I missing something?" Drake was actually stunned by this requirement.

"No silly. We want to make it there tomorrow right? If so, then we need to move that fast." Tara was teasing Drake.

"This is supposed to be a journey not a road trip. So you can suck it by making it there tomorrow." Drake was very upset.

"What do you mean by suck it?" Dracula had never heard this term before.

Ariel sitting beside Drake quickly slapped her hands over Drake's mouth. She yelled at her mother, "I will talk to you later about it, Mother."

Tara was also surprised by the statement Drake said and did not anger Ariel anymore.

"Okay, we will have to go through the Vast Plains then. That is truly a nightmare to go through though. Are the four of you okay with it?" Tara asked the Ritocian group.

"Yes," June replied first with a huge smile on her face.

"Of course," Ariel replied next.

"Whatever suits my daughter's husband," Dracula was not worried either way.

No one heard Drake's reply because Ariel's hands were still on top. Making sure he did not say anything out of the ordinary.

Suddenly, Ariel asked, "What makes the Vast Plains a nightmare to walk through?"

"Too many weak monsters. The highest strength is the giant that lives in the center, with a mound for the house. The only reason he is alive is because he takes care of the plains himself. No one really cares." Tara explained very carefully.

"What is the highest defense of the monsters there?" Ariel wanting to know.

"300, is the average. If one has more or less battle experience it may change." Tara explained.

Ariel was upset that she needed to use mana to increase her strength but was willing to deal with it. She suddenly realizes Drake licking her hands. She quickly pulls back and smacks Drake.

"DO NOT LICK MY HANDS. I am not ready to go that far yet." Ariel said blushing.

"Sorry, that was the only thing I could of to make you remove your hands from my mouth." Drake said that to make her understand.

"I am sorry for not removing them sooner." Ariel was upset.

Dracula asked, "Drake, what is your status so we know when to help."

"My status. 400,000 speed, 1,000,000 mana control, 350,000 defense, 55,678 strength." Drake said proudly.

Everyone's mouth dropped at just his speed alone.

"He can tank anything."

"He can outrun anything."

The maids were frankly saying.

"What about your mana?" Ariel asked.

"My mana is," Drake did not know if he should keep it back but he went ahead and said it, "250,000 mana."

"He can pulverize anything."

The maids added on and kept saying during the night.

Drake went inside a tent and June and Ariel went in after him. Dracula was not upset that she went in with him but rather first explaining what he said. Tara explained it for Ariel. Dracula wanted nothing more than to go in and prove she could but not when her daughter was next to him.

"Drake honey. How hard did you hit my father by chance?" Ariel whispered in Drake's ear.

"I punched him with a force of 200,000. It could have been higher but I could only use 150,000 mana. My other 100,000 mana is sealed currently." Drake said with a low voice.

"The highest attack was made by Drago when he faced the Hero Unknown and by using everything at his disposal he only managed 225,000 strength. My husband is truly wonderful." Ariel thought with a small genuine and creepy smile at the same time.

"Um, Ariel," June spoke up, "Wasn't the attack made by Drago 225,000 to the Hero Unknown the highest rating strength?"

"Yes." Ariel said straight.

"Nice if I had even 5,000 more mana at that time. I could have become a new ranker." Drake was extremely proud of himself. "I want the two of you to train together while we travel through this Vast Plains okay?" Drake wanted them to get stronger together.

They spent a week training and moving fairly fast at night to reach the road that leads into Elven Community.

"This place feels weird." Drake spoke his mind. He then checked June's Status.

Seeing her status made him feel a little better.

The moment Drake stepped on the forest road. He felt immediate hatred and bloodlust pointed at him.

"Hey. You all walk ahead. I am going to check up on something." Drake was really uneasy about this whole ordeal.

Seeing Drake walk into the forest.

"Something is not right. Can everyone feel it?" Tara asked.

Everyone shook their head in agreement.

We will do this then. Everyone looked at each other. Ariel and June went with Drake and the Elves went into the top of trees to watch Drake.

"Drake," June shouted.

Drake turned around to see Ariel and June. "WHY DID YOU TWO FOLLOW ME?" Drake shouted in his mind.

"Why did you two come?" Drake asked in a very low stern voice.

"We became concerned. Why else would we come." Drake felt something in his heart and did not know what it was.

"Why don't we go to the road?" June asked.

"I WILL NOT TRAVEL DOWN THAT BLOOD LUSTFUL ROAD. I WILL NOT AND CANNOT BE TALKED INTO IT." Drake getting very mad at that place.

Seeing Ariel and June get frightened by his monstrous voice. Drake apologized to them both and continued on into the forest.

Shortly there after, "Why did he yell that?" Tara asked the two wives.

"He said something about Blood Lustful Road." June replied.

"Blood lust? I do not know what that is." Tara explained.

One of her guardsman said, "Have you ever looked into a wild predator's eyes when mad. If you have then that is a decent explanation."

"I see," Tara started, "I will go talk to him. No one follow me."

She then left to go find Drake.

"Will she be able to bring him?" June asked Ariel.

"I do not think so. However, if she does then it might be for her protection." Ariel replied.

Dracula had not left yet. She wanted to watch all of them go down the road before leaving. She handed Ariel several pieces of paper, a weird looking pen, and many ribbons.

"Ariel, my daughter, when you need to write home. Use them and call a carrier bird. It will trace the original magic to me. I can also hand it to Medusa if you want. Just write it on the top for her." Dracula explaining to Ariel what the paper was for.

"Ariel, Dracula can we talk to ourselves outside the forest please?" June was really wanting to talk.

The three of them walked out and set on two different logs that were near the edge of the forest.

"Ariel, I am sorry to ask but my status shows I'm Drake's wife. I will not allow myself to get ahead because I know you are his wife. So what should happen to me?"

Dracula and Ariel looked at each other and smiled. Dracula replied, "June, honey. It does not matter if you are his wife. My best friend and my daughter are also his wives. They understand they cannot make him theirs only. He has too much power to be left with one person to tame him. He will get better but who knows when that will be."

June was dumbfounded at this statement and asked, "So I too can become a wife and no worries?"

Ariel nodded in agreement. June was happy but something hurt her on the inside and did not know what.

Tara went to where Drake was and set down on the ground and talked with Drake. She wanted him to come naturally but was not going to push if anything came up.

"So Drake if I drag you to the Elven Kingdom. My father would banish me without thought. If I tell him that you are not interested in me. He will then use all female elves to come in and use their bodies to fulfill all of you wants and needs. Is there anyway for you to come down the road?" Tara was crying when saying this.

"Is she actually upset or faking it?" Drake thought.

"Are you going to be okay if you strip naked in front of everyone for me? If so, then I will be with you because you are willing to do something for me. If not, then I will forge my own way to the community." Drake said being 100% certain that she would not do that for his case.

"If stripping naked in front of everyone in our group is what it takes for you to come. I will gladly show my entire body to the world if it meant my father would not have to use different means. I am already in trouble with him. I brought you here first instead of being married to you first." Tara explained.

Drake became stupefied. He truly did not have any reason now to reject her now. She smiled knowing his response.

"I will walk down the road but I will not always walk down with so much bloodlust pointed towards me. Do you understand?" Drake needed to make sure she understood.

"I know you truly do not want bloodlust pointed towards you. I will allow you to walk down the side near the edge. Ariel, June, and I will be close to make you feel better if you need it." Tara was happy he was willing.

"Also why is this road so Blood Lustful Tara?" Drake asked.

"This road is the road that Hero Unknown fought against my grandmother and several other elves. After being killed, her husband took the reins and transformed the Elven Community. After Hero Unknown poisoned the sea, my grandfather used the rest of his life force to put the Dragon Race in front of the sea. That Hero Unknown killed." Tara started to explain.

"I feel something off with this story but I will do my best to fix all problems I caused back then." Drake made this promise to himself.

"How exactly did your grandmother die Tara?" Drake asked.

"She was an expert at controlling Nature Elemental Magic. So all Earth, Water, and even these trees she could change everything at a moment. The only one who could challenge her Water Magic was Katsumi. He was the Merman King. He lived in the area where the Hero Unknown killed the sea." Tara started again.

"If she was so powerful then something big happened right?" Drake said out loud.

"Yes, while she was powering up, Hero Unknown went and punched her. Instantly killing her, this has been passed down from her former advisor. He is now currently researching something powerful to fight against Heroes for the future of the Elves." Tara feeling sad now.
