Chapter 117 The Dukes talk to Drake pt 1

Upon hearing Medusa say there would be a ceremony. The Duke General was happy. The new Duke was surprised.

"I honestly did not think she would do that for my family!" The new Duke was surprised.

"Now let's go and see Drake." Medusa commanded.

"Yes Your Majesty." The Dukes were in sync.

Medusa led them across the village explaining what all Drake, mainly the women, had done.

Once everything was looked at. They were on their way to the house. The Dukes and Medusa saw May walking out of the house.

"How is everyone, Mrs. May?" Medusa asked in a loving voice.

"Drake is upset but everyone is around him." May said with a dead look in her eyes.

"What has Drake upset?" Medusa was worried.

"He seems to be worried about his meeting with the Dukes. It also doesn't help that he woke up late with a nightmare." May replied.

"That sucks." Medusa did not want to involve them if Drake had a nightmare.

"Your Majesty," the Duke General tapped on Medusa's shoulder, "How about we and Drake go somewhere private to talk?" The Duke General bowed.

"He cannot be by himself at all." Medusa replied.

The new Duke became a little irritated but asked calmly, "Why is it that Drake cannot be by himself?" The new Duke bowed.

"He went inside the Hellish Library. Something that was hidden away from Goddess Kala's time." Medusa replied.

Hearing that, the Dukes could only stay in their positions. Only the Dukes had any kind of knowledge about that place and it was what was passed down.

Most of the time, in their families the only person who could even know about it was the Duke and whoever was to be the successor.

Knowing how badly that must have affected Drake. The Dukes wanted to postpone the meeting.

Medusa denied that. She wanted Drake to move on but knew in her heart that would probably never happen.

The trio went inside the house. They saw Drake depressed, June and Tara both beside him. Aura was helping in the kitchen. Amelia had also just come in behind the trio.

The female Elder Dragon was upstairs she went to sleep because Drake had awakened her during the night with his nightmare. She stayed up all night watching him.

Drake's father had actually gone to where the hole was. He wanted to build something around it. He knew a fence would not be big enough but it was the best he could do until Drake decided to do something else.

The Dukes seeing all the women were shocked to see so many influential women there. Even though they did not see the female Elder Dragon Aura had already told them she was upstairs.

The Dukes did not want to waste anymore time. So they looked at each other and nodded.

"Sir Drake. We understand that you cannot be by yourself so we ask that you bring one lady with you to talk with us in private." The Duke General slightly bowed.

Drake did not feel like it after his nightmare but knew it was something that needed to be done.

"June you will come with me." Drake told her.

"Okay." June nodded. She went upstairs and got dressed.

On her way down, the Dukes saw her skirt. It was not pretty by any means but the look on her was like a princess coming down to meet her dance partner at the best dance party.

The Duke General could not help but remember seeing Medusa when she was little. He felt like she was a new version of her.

The new Duke had not seen anything like that. He had not been to his grand party yet and he felt like she was more pretty than what any other girl he could imagine or seen.

"I'm ready whenever you are Drake." June smiled.

Seeing her smile, put a smile on Drake's face. The Dukes saw this and knew the would be together forever but took the right to remain silent. They did not want to anger any of the women in here.

Drake got up and the four of them left. Seeing them leave, Medusa felt a burden get off her chest. She knew if anyone said anything wrong. It would not be the women who would have done anything. Drake would be the one to do something even in his depression, he would still protect them no matter what.

"Are they gone?" Aura asked after finishing the dishes.

"Yeah." Medusa answered.

"They better not hurt my Drake." Amelia puffed out her chest.

"I would be the one to do something." Aura puffed out her chest as well.

"Neither one of would because we all know Drake will and would do something even in his depressed state." Medusa sighed.

"Of course we know Medusa. However we have to lighten up the mood and make the place feel better." Aura teased.

"Medusa, you need to learn to joke around with us. We all know we can all get serious when we need to but Drake would honestly put himself in front before we get a chance to do any kind of fighting or dirty work." Amelia had a pay attention attitude going on.

"Do not worry. June will be there and can get help even if it means hurting Drake." Tara said with a guilty feeling but knew it was the truth.

Everyone just stopped and stared at Tara. Even though they knew what she said was the truth they still felt uncomfortable with her saying it.

The Dukes, Drake, and June rode on Beowulf's and Beowulf's kin to a spot on the mountain. They made sure to avoid the hole and find a nice clearing on the side of the mountain.

"Drake, my name is Duke General Sado. We are here today to talk with you." The Duke General said.

The new Duke took it that is what he should do as well and went with the flow.

"Drake, my name is Duke Georgetown. Even though I am new to being a Duke I also wish to talk with you." The new Duke said with a slight bow.
