His fingers, firm but teasing, gripped her waist, pulling her against his body. “Do you know what happens to those who defy me, little pet?” His voice was low, dripping with dark amusement. He leaned down, his lips hovering just above hers, close enough for her to feel his breath but not close enough to touch. “They beg.”Elysia’s pulse quickened, her breath catching as her body betrayed the fear melting into something far more dangerous. The King's Obsession

A few minutes later, the bailiff returned with three registers in hand and approached Azrael. "I have  discovered something new about the names," he began, opening one of the books and pointing to an entry. "Phyl Aldrich is recorded to have attended multiple balls with the previous Duke of Graymoore—not just one, but consistently over several centuries. This leads me to believe that the previous Duke might have information about who this individual truly is." He paused, his gaze shifting back to Azrael as he awaited a response.

"Did you manage to find any properties under those names?" Azreal questioned.

"Unfortunately, I found no evidence of that, nor was there any collaboration recorded between them and any nobleman," the bailiff explained.

Azreal tapped his fingers twice on the arm rest, "We will need to pay this Duke a visit, perhaps he will give us important information that might help us find out who the name belongs to."
