CHAPTER 42
Silence descended between them as the guard failed to give Lady Helena a name. He kept guessing but was too afraid to spell the word out. Meanwhile, Alessia caught a glimpse of Helena with the guy. Her heart dropped immediately as she thought of the consequences.
Her feet paddled on their way in hurry steps and paused right in front of Helene before bowing shortly. She stated a bit shakily,
" Lady! He..he lost his track. He is a new guard. So, I was showing him the way."
The guy was surprised to hear his Alpha. But soon, he followed the plot and admitted to it quickly,
" Yes..yes..I was lost here..I was scared that I would be getting beaten by the other guards for entering in the inner castle. So, I was searching for the way and found this lady to ask for the directions."
