The Rude Guest

"Who was that?" asked Suri to her younger brother.

"Nobody. You don't need to know."

Rowan told Suri to accompany the hatchling and Maxi.

Meanwhile, the young man, who was still curious, drew the curtain a little so he could peek again. He was afraid he saw wrong.

Why did that man visit the palace? Usually, he would just send his representatives.

Rowan looked at Suri tickling the hatchling's belly. Was it possible that the man came to bring the hatchling back to Birwick? If that was true, then that was a good thing.

"You know what that sound was? The guards, as well as the maids, were hysterical, and you forced me to stay in this room. Do you know the man who visited the palace in the golden carriage?" asked Suri curiously.

Rowan turned his back on Suri, so his sister wouldn't see his lying face. "I don't know. I just panicked because father told me to keep you in the room. Maybe father was worried it was an attack or something."
