Not only was Chi Huan shocked, but Mrs. Lally was too.
She looked at Wen Yi with an incredulous face, one that was cold yet calm, "Are you saying that Chi An... wasn't killed by someone sent by the Lawrence Family?"
Wen Yi's warm, slight smile lingered, "If dad wanted to break up Miss Chi and Mr. Xiaomo... why kill him? Wouldn't that mean losing the last bargaining chip? Just like how Miss Chi is now all alone, only having Mr. Xiaomo left, breaking them up just got even harder."
Mrs. Lally stared straight at her, "Even if it wasn't Mr. Lawrence, why would it be my husband?"
Wen Yi smiled faintly, "The reason for that, perhaps Mr. Lally himself should tell you. It could be the jealousy of having his wife taken from him more than a decade ago or perhaps it was to pave the way for his daughter to marry into the Lawrence Family."
Mrs. Lally's expression became dazed for quite a while before she bitingly said, "Do you have proof?"
