It's hard to believe it has only been a week since I first woke up in this hospital room. The room, with its sterile white walls that initially greeted me, has transformed into something warm and inviting.
The room is now filled with bouquets of flowers in all shapes and colors, some from friends, others from hospital staff and well-wishers. Balloons of various colors are tied to chairs and sway gently with the breeze from the open window, and a large plush teddy bear sits perched on the side table, staring at me with its glassy eyes. Courtesy of Elizabeth. Everything looks upscale, almost like a suite in a luxury hotel rather than a hospital ward. But the best part of the room? Elijah.
