When the spiritual energy reached the first meridian Ryu frowned when he tried to open there was a sudden pain when he clash the energy with the closed meridian there was a strong stoppage there.

The reason??, well simple firstly he was from a very low-class family so he could not afford highly nutritious food, so his body was not nourished and this led to his body not being properly developed.

Now when he is trying to open the meridian the issue is that it is not strong enough to handle the power of spiritual energy.

There is an issue that the Spiritual liquid is not an ordinary one but a natural spiritual energy that is very potent and purified.

Ryu was unaware of the quality of the spiritual liquid but he did not back down 'If I can't awaken I can't help so even If I have to bear the pain I will awaken' he thought and started hammering the meridian with as much power as possible, and after a pain that felt like death he opened a small pathway in the meridian.

After seeing a light in the darkness he focused on expanding the path 'yes, since its open now I will use a full force to expand it as much as I can ' and redirected all the residual spiritual energy he could muster and tried to expand the meridian and expand it did but as the power was too much for his frail body his body could not hold much longer.
