Chapter 19: Nya~

"Hmm~ What a great morning." Alex smiled as he stretched his body.

"Hmm~ a great mornin." Alice followed her papa and stretched her body while standing beside him.

The two of them were currently standing outside the Yuragi Inn to enjoy the morning sunrise.

Even though he can do it in his room, he chose to go outside. Because even though it doesn't look like it, his pocket world is still has "wall" that's blocking it.

He couldn't even feel heat or cold there, because the scenery "weren't" really there, its just some sort of a large TV, like even if you see the sun on TV you wouldn't feel it right? His room follows the same concept.

Heat, cold, breeze, heck even if it rain or storm, none of it can be felt inside.

So going out to enjoy the morning isn't that bad from time to time.

"Alright little princess, what should we do today?" Alex asked his daughter as he picked her up and carried her to his arms.

"Hmm?" Alice seems to be in thought when she heard her father's question. It was at that moment where she spotted Yaya who was about to leave, so she called out to her, "Yaya-neecha!"

Alex also turned his gaze towards Yaya, who was in her signature attire, a purple hoodie with a purple sexy shorts and a purple sneakers.

Yaya heard a familiar voice calling out to her so she paused and turned around, she saw Alex and Alice standing in front of Yuragi...well Alex was standing while carrying Alice.

She decided to approach them.

"Alice, Alexander, Morning."

"Mornin Yaya-neecha!" Alice greeted her with a smile.

Alex nodded at her, "Good morning Yaya. May I ask where are you going?"

"Yaya is going to attend Elder Cat God Birthday Party." Yaya answered before she fell into deep thought and nodded, "Got it! Alexander, Alice, why don't you come with Yaya?"

Alex raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure? Elder Cat God's birthday party...as expected, aren't that an event only other Cat Gods and their Host's can attend?"

Yaya nodded, "Its fine, Yaya is friends with the Cat Gods, and you two are Yaya's friends as well. Cat Gods will understand."

Alex thought about it and nodded, in the manga, the MC was also invited by Yaya to join her on a Cat Gathering during a festival, and they seems to be welcoming.

"T-Then..." Alice wanted to join, but she needs her papa's permission. Looking at her father, she asked, "Papa, can we go?"

Alex shrugged before giving a smile, "Sure, why not? Thanks for inviting us Yaya, lead the way."

"Hn." Yaya and nodded as she walked away, with Alex following behind her.

Alex was actually wondering why they have to walk but said nothing.

Yaya leads him to a mountain, where a powerful barriers seems to have been erected.

Now that he saw, Alex finally understood why he didn't saw a lot of humans. It seems that this barrier are subconsciously telling them not to go anywhere here.

Though it seems to only apply to ordinary humans.

When they entered the barrier, Alex was actually surprised to see a lot cats moving in the same direction as them.

Cats, Cat Youkais, Cat Gods, even Cat Eared People! And Cat Eared People! Important things must be said thrice, so Cat Eared People!

"Oh? Its Yaya-chan nya~"

Alex turned his gaze towards the cat who called out to Yaya. And he got to admit, he was impressed.

The cat was wearing a knight armor, a helmet with cat ears, a blue scarf and a cape, it was holding a shield and a sword. It stood around a meter tall and seems to give a proud and noble aura.

Not only that, Alex estimated that just base on spiritual power, this cat is even stronger than the hollow that Sagiri fought—much, much stronger.

"Its Sir Nyansalot." Yaya seems to recognized the cat, and base on the awed look she was giving him, Alex assumed that the cat has a rather high status, or is very well known.

'More importantly, Nyansalot? A cat ripoff of one of the Knights of the Round Table? No, even of he's a ripoff what is he doing in Japan?!'

"Neko~" Alice cooed at the cat, extending her little arms as she giggled.

"Nya?" Sir Nyansalot turned his gaze at Alice, and noticed that she gave off a familiar feeling but couldn't remember what.

He then moved his gaze to Alex, and aside from the fact he was only a little bit stronger than average, Sir Nyansalot couldn't find anything special about him.

But that's given, because Judecca suppressed Alex power using Demon King Safe Mode, so unless one is as strong as the landlady they wouldn't be able to feel his power.

"You brought humans with you Yaya-chan nya~? Why nya~?" Sir Nyansalot asked.

"Hm, they are Yaya's friend." Yaya replied.

"Nyannn~" Sir Nyansalot nodded, "Very well nya~, but tell them not to cause trouble nya~, today is the special day for the Cats and we couldn't afford any mishaps nya~"

"Yaya understands."

With that, Sir Nyansalot walked away and heald towards the top of the mountain.

Yaya turned back to her friends and nodded, "Let's go."

Alex nodded and followed after her. Along the way, they encountered several cat youkais, and cat gods who greeted Yaya.

She's very popular among the cat species, supernatural or not.

After a few minutes of walking, they arrived on a cliff where one can see the city below.

At edge of the cliff, is a golden Torii Gate with two stone statue of a cat standing as a guard on each side.

Several cats passed through the "gate" and jumped from the cliff, but instead of falling, there seems to a platform or stairs there where the cats uses to walk.

Alex cheek twitched, 'Somehow, this setting is rather familiar. Have I seen this before? Maybe I watched it from a movie or anime.'

"Yaya, this is..."

"Its a Torii Gate."

"I know that!"

Yaya looked back to Alexander, "The Cats also has their Sub-Space comparable to the Hexagram. But if one did not pass through the Torii Gate, they wouldn't be able to see and enter it."

'As expected, this is rather familiar.'

"Indeed," a female voice was heard behind them, "Though not everyone can just enter the Nyatopia; the Cat's Realm. One needs to have a Cat as a guide, and one is to not have any hatred or malicious intent for a cat."

Alex turned his head and his eyes widened. The woman who spoke just now is someone he was familiar with.

The woman smirked at him as she passed by him. She stopped besides Yaya and patted her head with a smile.

"Its been awhile hasn't it, Yaya."

"Hmm~"

The woman turned to look at Alex and Alice with a grin, "Are these your friends? Well, this one is rather handsome, too bad he has a kid."

Alex just remained silent, while Alice was staring curiously at the woman. The woman gave Alice a wave which Alice returned with a wave of her own while smiling.

"Hn, he's Alexander, a friend, and his daughter Alice, she's a friend also." Yaya said, "They have been living in Yuragi for a few days now."

"Hoo~?" The woman smiled as she approached Alex, "Hmm, Hmm, since your living inside that place, you must also be special right? Everyone in that Inn are quite special after all."

Yaya spoke, "Yeah, Sagiri said that Alexander one-shot a High-Class Hollow that's about to evolve."

The woman's interests peak as she gaze Alexander in amusement and interest, however she quickly look down at the little fella who was staring at her.

She pinched Alice's cheeks, "Aww, what a cute little fella, why don't I just adopt you?"

"No!" Alice pouted as she glared at the woman, while hugging Alex's chest, "I love papa! I won't go with you!"

The woman raised an eyebrow in amusement, "Don't worry, I'll take care of you, if you go with me you can even eat as much sweets as you want."

"No!" a small crescent mark appeared on Alice's forehead for a moment, but it quickly disappeared. Good thing no one noticed but Alex.

When Alex noticed that, he decided to intervene, after all, Alice might blast this woman away. He kissed her daughter's cheek as he smiled, "Alright, Alice, that's enough, no one can take you away from me."

Alice eyed her father as she nodded before burying her head on the chest.

"Ahh~" the woman scratched the back of her head with an embarrassed smile, "Did I go too far? Sorry about that. I couldn't control myself, she's just way too cute to not to tease."

Alex smiled, he was actually quite happy to see how much Alice wanted to stick with him that she almost used her powers just now.

"No, its fine, no harm done."

The woman waved gave an apologetic smile, "Still, I did go a bit too far, so if you need help, just ask me, if its something I can do, I'll help."

Alex smiled, "Sure, I'll count on you at that time." he then extended his free hand forward for a handshake, "Alexander Gremory."

The woman glanced at his hands for a moment before smiling, and shook it,

"Yoruichi Shihoin."
