Tarred with the same brush

Vexed, Leena looked up to teach him a lesson for calling her unicorn, but he was nowhere in sight when she wanted to reprimand him. She too was feeling suffocated in the body-hugging dress. Thinking that she should sleep now, Leena went into the bathroom to wear the comfortable sleeping outfit.

When she turned up into her room, Devin was wrapping all the hovered clothes and tidying her bed which she has dirtied it when opening and trying the clothes. Why is he so sweet and kind? Leave it, Leena! Don't get too attached to him. He is just helping you out of courtesy because he is a good friend of Leah. It's only for ten days. I will soon forget him after I move to NewYork. Little did she knew it was turning impossible for her miserable heart. She tried to strike off those wave-like feelings again and again.

Get out of your thoughts idiot. He called you a unicorn. But her mind was not ready to scold him. What if he leaves in the middle of tidying my bed. I am too tired to organize it now. She let it slide him for now.

"Thanks for keeping my bed as neat as a new pin Mr. Adonis." Reaching over her bed, Leena smiled upgrading his name to her favorite Greek God now. Like hell. He deserves that name. Where did he inherit those features? Leena felt jealous of him for looking more beautiful than her.

As neat as a new pin? Devin chuckled at her funny comparison.

"My pleasure Miss Aphrodite." She is thinking of me as Adonis? He chuckled at her new upgraded name without knowing his darling was again thinking a way to flaunt her beauty now that he is comparing her to the famous Greek goddess.

"But I am more beautiful than her right? I have seen her paintings. Her face is not innocent at all like me and her height is a bit more for a usual women's le_"

"Isn't it time for you to sleep?" Devin interrupted her words in the middle of their conversation. You did a mistake again Devin. She is the female version of that Narcissus God who fell in love with himself.[1]

"I am not sleepy." Leena pouted. She had rested for a really long time in the afternoon and sleep was nowhere near her. So she wanted to poke him until she gets tired. When Leena looked at the folded dresses, she got an idea to prolong their conversation.

"That stupid Leah is a real miser, right? She could have brought me more dresses if she is gifting. After all, I am her best friend." Leena spoke up without knowing the real truth of the gifts.

After hearing her phrases, Devin stopped his work chuckling at her reasoning. He really did not know how to react to her words. Should I laugh or cry? Devin has brought over all the current trending production from his brand. He picked all of them by himself. There are over more than a hundred varieties but still, she is calling him a miser. Women would be happy if they received a single dress, as a gift, but not her. As expected from my sweetheart.

"Maybe she didn't have time to pick." He ranted to at least get sympathy from his little kit or he thought so.

"Aye. I will accept Mr. Adonis." She sighed resuming again."At least she could have chosen another brand. Why it has to be from that WD brand."

"Why? Don't you like it? It's very famous in the world." His voice was urgent to know the answers. Did she not like his brand? But she was very happy with them a while ago.

"I love their clothes, but I hate that brand's CEO." Leena has her own reasons. Even though she has not seen the CEO, the fashion world has portrayed him as the most handsome hunk. Hearing those comments from Reese, her jealous flared up and she did not even feel like looking at his pictures. But looking at the handsome cake in front of her, Leena called them foolish. How did they name him as the most handsome when there is another who could beat him.

"Why do you hate him?" Her revelation was a fatal blow to him. Did I do something to her? But we haven't even met officially.

"He is a very bad person. I know a very famous model friend. For their new branch opening in Korea, he is pestering her every day to be their sole model. She is not even able to breathe with his calls." Sitting comfortably on the bed, Leena grabbed an apple taking a lazy bite from it. She knew this conversation will not end very soon. After all, Mr. Adonis looks interested in my story. Now I will gladly add my own tale.

"Who knows, your model friend might be lying," Devin said with a dejected mood. Liar! Every day I called you? She did not even give off her number.

I have only pestered twice. Don't you think you are over exaggerating sweetheart? Now Devin is determined to conceal his identity until he lures her into the office. Let her scold however meager she might want. The more she criticizes, the guiltier she would turn out once she gets to know his identity. He was glad everyone calls him here with his nickname. He doesn't need to demand anyone.

"My friend would never lie. She is an epitome of truth and justice." Leena proudly brandished herself.

"Shall I tell you one more secret of him?"Throwing the finished apple waste into the bin, Leena grabbed another one when she sensed her stomach is not yet full.

Devin weekly nodded his head to continue. What another stupid story she will add about him now. He snickered for hearing his own story in front of her. Never he thought, his sweetheart is possessing such cruel thoughts about him.

"He has an affair with that famous actress Emily Harper." Leena heard her employees talking about his affair with that plastic beauty which she has trained for a movie. How did he fell for that brainless woman?

Leena interjected when she is not yet finished.

"You know what? She has a fling with a movie director who is rotten old. Poor CEO. He must be wearing a green hat." She threw her apple not able to control her laugh. She rolled on the bed literally clutching her stomach.

"I have never dated anyone in the first place!" In his rage, he roared slipping his tongue.

"Huh?" She asked innocently, grabbing the fallen apple from the bed.

"I mean, he did not date her. I know WD's CEO and he is not that kind of person." Devin spoke up with gritted teeth composing himself. He would have been caught by her now if not for his fast reflexes. Who the hell is spreading the false rumors on him? He has clearly given a statement to the media. He would never bother if it is some other person, but his own darling is having such foolish thoughts on him.

"You know him?" She asked with a surprising mockery. "Expected from playboys. Birds of the same feather flock together. No wonder, you both are tarred with the same brush."

Tarred with the same brush? Devin pressed his lips to control his anger, but it was not enough.

"You are proof that evolution can go in reverse. Sleep now!" He bashed her head and walked out with irritation. Devin was making all the notes to take revenge for all the silly things she is doing to him. Why is her mind always imagining things? He wished to put a tight bandage to her mouth for a day and secure her brain in wrap not to visualize the things. Wait and see sweetheart! I will give you the most surprising gift tomorrow which you would never forget in life.

"Hey! Stupid idiot. Why did you beat me?" She yelled at the retreating figure. He looks angry but why? She thought.

Does he like that WD CEO or what?

"Oh My God! Now I understood. Is he a pansexual? the one who gets attracted to any gender. If he is, then I have to be very careful." Leena got goosebumps thinking about it. After narrating the whole story, she felt very tired. Slumping on the bed, she soon fell asleep without knowing a baffling gift was waiting for her tomorrow.
