Francis and Leena went out of the hospital happily as if the earlier cursers they were throwing at each other were thrown out of the window and both reconciled in a flick. After Leena settled, Francis started the car to Haecis mansion by himself. He would not take his secretary when he is spending his time with Leena.
Francis's gaze was moving from Leena and back to the road continuously. He was clearly hesitating to talk about something with her but when he was about to voice out nothing would come out of his mouth.
"What's wrong Francy? You look worried." Leena sensed he was bothered by something, but she is not able to pinpoint what exactly it is.
"Nothing." He smiled turning to her leg. "Do you still feel unease with your leg?" He carefully enunciated not to bring back her past. Her countless cries in the nights when she couldn't endure her pains were still fresh in his memory.
"Sometimes, but I can endure a little pain and you are worrying too much." Leena pouted. Why does he always have to think about only her?
"Don't you want to get revenge, child? They have made your life a living hell for a year." His hands clenched around the wheel to hold back his anger and emotions.
"We don't have any evidence Francy." she murmured.
"I have other ways to make them rot in hell." If not for his daughter, someone would have seen Francis Hayes's wrath.
"We have a law to punish people. Besides, I am happy that I can walk again now." Leena whispered gazing down.
"If not for your spirit, you would still be sitting in a wheelchair child." He would have wiped those rotten bastards with his power, but his daughter never wanted to stain his hands laying a finger on them. But he is not happy. Not until he gets his revenge.
"You should be happy that I am still alive." She focused her eyes on the trees outside not intended to continue the topic.
"I still thank the gods albeit I never believed in them." If something had happened to her on that night, he would never know if he could have survived by himself and the promise he made to Heather to keep her daughter safe, he cannot imagine anything.
"Don't you have any other fun topics to discuss Francy?" Leena was getting annoyed with his tragic acting. She already has a list of tragic Korean dramas in her bucket and looks like he is making it into a live one now with his drama.
"I have lots." He scoffed. "I heard that old zebra has pestered you again to marry her son." Looks like that zebra still hasn't learned a lesson even after I threatened her. Does she want my little Leena for that womanizer? In her dreams.
"Even you think she looks like a zebra?" Leena was laughing continuously rolling on the car itself.
"Her zebra clothes always stand out combined with her pale face."
"Don't worry, I have ways to deal with her." Suddenly something flashed into her brain.
"How did you know about that incident?" Leena asked suspiciously.
"A friend happens to be there in DewGarden when he noticed you." Leena rolled her eyes at him. How cleverly he is lying. Does he think she would believe him? Wait. Then he must be knowing about that dirtball also. She suddenly pitied that person now.
The car slowly entered into the mansion and Leena spotted someone standing at the entrance of the door as if anticipating her arrival.
"Uncle Caleb! Here!" Leena screamed. She rolled the car window and pushed her head out waving vigorously with her hands.
"Leena, how many times I have told not to put your head outside." Francis barked.
"It's inside our house, Francy. You are overreacting. Looks like you don't want me to visit you next week." That shut him up. She unbuckled her seat belt and rushed towards Uncle Caleb.
"Little Leena, how are you?" Caleb guided her inside before someone could grab her attention. "I was making your favorite dishes in the morning and I missed seeing you. I have already prepared dinner for you. Come and taste the magic of your uncle's hand." Leena excitedly nodded her head when she heard about his food.
"How is it?" Caleb asked in excitement.
"What a waste of your skills. You should have been a master chef uncle." Leena gave double thumbs. "Where is Carrot? I don't see her anywhere?"
"She is playing with your aunt Grace." Just then someone approached and plonked in front of them.
"You glutton, always talking about food or showing off your clothes. Finish fast and come to my study." Francis barked and went inside.
'Come to my study.' Leena mimicked him like a child.
"He is just jealous that I am grabbing your attention." Caleb grinned at the retreating figure.
