Chapter 6(a deal with the devil)

LUCIFER'S POV

I had no intention of kissing her but I had to find a way to shut her up or the cops or whoever they were would eventually find her plus I needed to think straight in order to manipulate their thoughts into forgetting why they were here. At least these were the things I thought could best explain the reason why I kissed her,of course I could have done both without kissing her but I just did. I badly wanted to know what was going on in her head but I just couldn't read her mind.

I still continued to kiss her even after the cops left, savouring the softness of her lips. Judging by the way she responded I knew this was her first kiss which made me chuckle within me. who would have thought a hot-headed girl like her hadn't kissed before.

I pulled back and looked at her to see her expression , she was looking as if she had seen a ghost. She lifted her finger at me and opened and closed her mouth with no words coming out, I ignored her and walked out of the marriage council. If anyone was to raise a finger at me that person wouldn't have lived to see the next day but I'll just forgive her since she had no idea what offence she has committed.

"How...how dare you kiss me"she fired at me, putting her hands on her lips as if she couldn't believe this actually happened.

"Are you angry that your first kiss didn't go well or the fact that it was with a stranger?"

She seemed shocked by my outburst.she turned to face me well.

"Listen, whether it's the first or second reason, you just can't go about kissing girls like that even if she has fucking agreed to be your baby mama for a year!!!"she shouted almost destroying my eardrums.

"you are way too loud for my liking" I frown at her

" Don't you dare act all annoyed,you better apologize for what you did back there or you are going to regret it"she warned.

"really? I would have done it sooner or later so isn't it good that it happened much quicker ?"I saw the way her face flushed red as she looked away. I almost thought she had kept quite untill....

"where are we going?

"Home"I answered flatly .she looked at the roads before turning to me.

"The last time I checked my location,my house was nowhere near here"she glared at me hard,I turned away avoiding her before I regret what I might do later.

"listen big mouth,I never said anything like you going to your house. what I meant was us going to my house. that's home"I paused for a while realizing this was the longest explanation I've ever given for like thousand years now.

"what do you mean your house? can't I just stay in my house through out the year"

just what is wrong with this girl.can't she just use her head

"and expect the baby to come flying from the skies?you have to be with me if you want to do your side of the deal fast"I uttered.

she relaxed into the seat and sighed.

"I just can't believe I'm doing this, how am I suppose to tell nanny about this. Or how will she react to the fact that I married a stranger and agreed to have kids with him all in a year, Gosh this is bad"she kept murmuring the last past to herself.

"Can't we just not do this,I mean there's surely a girl that you like.right? I can just talk to her and she would eventually agree,who knows"

The truth was that I could have just helped her without asking for anything in return but I needed to find out what makes her so special that I can't have access to her thoughts and I also need a son badly because the other six prince of hell were literally stressing my life to get one and if I don't do that things may not turn out so good. So for me it's like killing two birds at a time

"I have interest in no human aside you"

I got down from the car and walked over to her side to carry her out.

she would have resisted but it seemed like what I said was still playing in her mind. Not that what I said was a lie,she was really the only human who have caught my attention.

"welcome back, master"Rufus,one of my men welcomed me.

"get the hell contract papers ready. leave them on the dinning table " he looked confused at first but upon seeing the girl in my arms, he understood.

I sat her down in one of the couch in the living room and was about to leave when she held my hand

"And where do you think you are going? you just can't bring me here and leave me alone."she blurted out.

"I'm not leaving,I'm just getting something so relax. My people don't kill"

she let go of my hand after saying this.i came back a few minutes later and she had closed her eyes relaxing. How can she just be so relaxed in a stranger's house. I stood there for sometime looking at her physical appearance and she looked very cute almost like a fragile little kitten.

"are you gonna stand there all day staring at me or what?"she said jolting me up from my thoughts. How come I couldn't sense that she was awake. this had never happened before and that was one of the factors why I needed to keep her close to find out why that is happening.

"I just don't understand why a young girl like you look almost like an old woman"I teased.

"don't you call me that, mister"

I ignored her and knelt down at her feet, took the ointment and applied it on her swollen leg. After some seconds,the leg was back to normal. Horror was broadly written on her face as she examine her leg well

"What....what are you and what was that"she asked

"I'm the Lucifer,ruler of the underworld and that is just and ointment from my world. Now that your leg is healed, let's get back to business"I said pulling her up and walking to the dinning table. the papers were already there and so was the signing feather. I sat down and gestured her to take her seat which she did without any complain.

I handed over the papers to her and she began to read through.

"this means the deal only ends if I give you your child even if it's past a year and there is no child,the deal still holds on"

"that's correct"

she gulped down the fear in her throat and started bitting on her nails and I could see how nervous she was. I guess a little trick was all I needed for her to know what she was dealing with.

"then we need to end this quickly"she said mostly to herself than me. she started filling in the parts that required information about herself. And as soon as she was done,a burning sensation run through the both of us but unlike me a little mark like that of a serpent appeared on her wrist and she turned to me for answers

"that is a sign that you are bonded to me and it also makes me get access to you easily. in case you get hurt or try to run away"I stated

it's been like twenty minutes now since she signed the papers and she was still adapting to the fact that she just made a deal with the devil. she hasn't been talking for sometime now and when she did, it was all about how to tell her nanny and how her nanny's death would like after she finds out the real reason. she wasn't talking again and was just bitting on her nails as usual and hell knows how much it was killing me not to know what she was thinking right now.

"Okay,so what now?"she asked when she was done with her thinking.

"I guess it's time we speak to this nanny of yours"I uttered and the nervousness appeared on her face again
