Chapter 5(mission failed)

This was going to be one of the hard missions ever and as usual I didn't tell nanny. I don't want her acting as if my life was going to end after this or even during it. I hated it but even I was having doubt about whether I'll survive or not. Today's task was simple but not all that simple. it was simple because it involves me just taking gold from a bunch of wedding gift and it wasn't easy because it Mr. Frost son's marriage. This man is the one of the wealthy people in New York or should I say the wealthiest in the city but even aside that he was a Mafia Don.One who knows I and my gang so well that if I'm busted then I'm dead. I remember the promise we made not to cross each others territory but here I was trying to steal some gold from his goddamn son.

I cleaned the sweat from my forehead as I struggled to unlock the door. Gosh,why do they have to take such extreme measures but yet again I knew the answer. So that hackers like me won't be able to disturb their peace. I released my grip from my dress and tried focusing. I was dressed as a bridesmaid so that I won't look suspicious besides the bride had about thousands of bridesmaid that I doubt whether she knows all of them or not.

"Listen Angel if you can't break through it leave it and let's go besides we can go for it another time"Hazel's voice boomed from the other side

"Shut up, will you. you are distracting me and don't worry I'm almost there"I sticked my tongue out as I went on to the last safe.

"Angel,I forgot to tell you that the door will blow an....."

before she could even continue the alarm went out.

"Fuck,why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"i just got the info ,okay.Now hurry up and leave there before the cops arrive"Hazel warned

"what, let me get the gold first. I'll be quick"I said, stepping inside,I thought I heard her protesting but the line went off.

I hurriedly packed up everything in my bag and made sure to cover my face as I stepped outside.

"Holy shit' I cursed realizing I've been busted. the cops who stood outside the door were more than I could count and I wasn't really confident that I could fight my way through.i quickly rushed back inside and closed the door trying to buy myself enough time to put on my parachute. I climbed to the nearby window just in time before the cops broke into the room.i looked down and realized I was on the 7th floor,if I was to jump it would be a bumpy landing but who cares as long as I don't die.

just smirk as I jumped through the window, obviously making him miss his target. I wasn't really expecting another set of cops when I landed so didn't have the time to wimp over my broken leg. I got up quickly and run the other direction, hiding the bag of gold in one of the garbage bins.

my goose chase continued as I tried endless to teach Hazel, after what seemed like forever she picked up

"For crying out loud where the fuck are you?"

I looked around trying to pinpoint my exact location but it seemed like l was lost

"Look it doesn't matter right now.come out from your hiding position and come for the gold. I left my tracker in the bag so it would be easier for you to find it"I said leaning towards a pole to check my wound. I winched in pain when I realize how bad it was, if I was to continue like this they might as well have to cut off my leg.but then I can think about that later I just had to find a way and escape. I wasn't hearing Haz's voice again which meant the line has been disconnected.

Really? upon all the times that I needed her,it just had to be now.

I jogged slowly to continue my journey because I knew the cops where still following me.

I finally made my way to the court, maybe I'd just hide here for sometime. I looked around and tried acting normal since others were trying to get married and I didn't want to ruin it.

One man walked over to me

"Hi miss how may I help you?"

"Actually,I'm coming to get married but it seems like my groom is not yet around so can you show me the washroom? that would be so helpful of you"I made sure I left no room for argument or unnecessary questions.

"Really, Angel?the best excuse you could come up with was that you are coming to get married.that dude would probably think you are 16 or something. Way to go,girl"I scolded myself as I fixed my hair in front of the mirror.but thinking about it that was the best thing to say, besides I just can't walk here and say I'm coming to buy something.what would that be?a puppy or a hubby?I chuckled at myself before slapping my checks

"You can do this, now let's get you home"

my eyes almost bulged out of its socket when I saw the cops in the marriage court.

Is this how far Mr. Frost can go for his gold. Now I need a plan to leave this building.Yes!!!a back door. every shop has it right.i stopped one of the workers to ask for it

"Sorry, ma'am but there was a little fault with it so we don't use it anymore"

Great,just great.upon all the times it could have gotten spoilt it had to be now.

I was about to enter the washroom again when a strong hands dragged me along with him.

"What the heck was that? can't you just say excuse me"I said trying to find a suitable place to rest my swollen leg.

"you don't have time to saw me attitude, young lady. I just need your help as much as you need mind"he stated

"Me?who said I even need your help?"I asked quite confused. I saw his gaze shifted to the cops and back at me. A slight smirk forming at the corner of his lips

"you need to run away from the cops right? then marry me"the stranger said looking at the cops and back at me again.

"you can't be serious right,how can you ask that besides you don't even know me?"I almost shouted

"True,I don't know you but you are no position to decline it. the deal is simple,you stay with me for only a year and bore my child after that you leave and I have my child"

"wait, what. you don't only want a wife but a child too.please we are far from 1st April so stop making such jokes"I said trying to laugh but stopped when I saw how serious he was.

"it's either this or jail"he said again.

I looked over to the cops, these weren't ordinary cops.if I get into their hands, I know Frost won't even let me explain but just slice me into two. sweat formed on my forehead when I realized the cops coming closer to us.

"Find,I agree"I half shouted making him smirk. Gosh I can't believe I agreed to marry a stranger.

"Embrace yourself, princess. You just made a deal with the devil" he said making my eyes widen but before I could even react he carried me in his arms as if I was a feather, slamming his lips on mine making my eyes widen more
