"I am losing my MIND"

A painful headache was the first thing I noticed when I regained consciousness. My friend Tara was hovering over me constantly and as my eyes drifted to my left, Daniel was sitting on my sofa, he was looking like a normal human guy.

I eased myself into a sitting position and asked Tara:

"What's going on? And why is Daniel in my room after all that he has done for me?"

Tara explained:

"Viviane I saw you lying unconscious on your balcony so I took you inside your room and as for Daniel, he just rang the bell and when I opened the door he said that he was a very close friend of yours."

I looked at Daniel curiously and he gave me a lazy grin saying:

"I came to see you, Viv, I heard about your amnesia problem. By the way, how are you now?"

Fine. If he was gonna put up an act, so will I.

I answered sweetly:

"Oh how lovely of you to visit me, I am perfectly fine, thankfully my memory has recovered!"

Tara chirped:

"Really? Oh thank God, you recovered sooner than most people suffering from amnesia!"

I replied:

"Well, that's good news!"

Suddenly the phone rang and Tara rushed to get it. Meanwhile, Daniel told me everything.

"You fainted and I disappeared when I saw your friend coming to get you, I needed to talk to you and it's gonna be easy for me to train you if people around you start thinking that I am a part of your normal human life."

"Normal! Do you think that I am normal especially after I commit a murder of the Devil King in my future? Oh, I just forgot, he isn't going to be my first murder as I have already killed three gangsters and oh I also enjoyed cutting myself just to make Mike feel irritated! Wow, I never knew I was a psycho-masochistic killer!"

My voice was hoarse and tears started running down my face and the whole apartment started echoing with my shouting. Daniel stopped me from throwing another tantrum by chanting a soft spell in my ear that lured me into a deep sleep.

Tara came back and asked:

" I heard screaming!? Is everything okay? And why is Viviane sleeping again?"

Daniel answered:

"No need to worry Tara, Viv had a bad headache and the medication she is taking is full of Antihistamines, so her sleep is uncontrollable, and as for the screaming, I guess the neighbours are having a loud conversation, maybe a fight, I don't know"

Tara said:

"Alright, you seem to know a lot about Viviane. Are you her boyfriend or something?"

Daniel gave a nervous laugh and stated:

"We are just really close friends, I met her at the club but then she disappeared."

Tara said:

"So you don't know that her date, Micheal kidnapped her and was about to sell her to some rich gangster until the police raided their gang and fortunately Viv had enough time to escape!"

"Oh really! such a crazy story, she didn't tell me that"

Tara shockingly asked:

"Really? Then how did you get to know about her amnesia?"

Tara was interrogating Daniel but he could easily cover up everything.

"A friend of hers in the club told me that she was in the hospital so I got worried and thought to visit her but she had already been discharged, so I came to her house."

Tara had a lot of questions.

"Then how did you know where she lived?"

"I asked for her address and she gave it to me although I don't have her number."

Finally, Tara was convinced and said:

"Fine, you can spend the night with her, please I just got a call from my mom, we have unexpected guests and do tell Viv about my sudden leave"

Obviously, Daniel agreed and decided to spend the night with me.

Tara left immediately! I couldn't believe that my best friend was leaving me with the Devil Prince but oh well he wasn't that bad after all.
